Vomiting until there was nothing left, then dry heaving. I couldn't keep anything down, solid or liquid. This went on every day for a week straight and dehydration set in. I'm into my second week and the vomiting has lessened. However, this is most likely due to my pcp mercifully ordering Zofran for the nausea and decreasing the Trintellix to 5mg. I'm able to keep food and liquids down although appetite comes and goes. Trying to stabilize my system with electrolytes. Also taking Senokot Dual for the constipation issue. It made me feel so free with food, I didn't think about eating all the time. In fact, I lost about 25 pounds over a year and a half (which isn't super fast but it wasn't rapid enough to gain it all back once I stopped taking this med). Trintellix also really helped my depression as well, until I got Covid at the end of 2020. After that, my depression became terrible and the Trintellix did not work as well as it did before. I think upping it would've helped, BUT I was on Wellbutrin as well and you cannot take more than 10mg of Trintellix if you are on Wellbutrin. This drug is expensive, if your insurance doesn't cover it. I am still experiencing nausea every day, and I frequently vomit within 30-60 minutes after taking the dose, usually 1-2 times a week. It has helped my depression somewhat, but I hesitate to switch antidepressants since I have had other side effects from several others that are not acceptable (not that vomiting so much is acceptable)! On the plus side, I have lost about 50 lbs since I started taking it. I didn't leave a note, I was tired of being told to "hang in there" knowing the whole time I shouldn't be taking Trintellix. But my provider was only telling me what was on the label... I cried my eyes out when I woke up 2 days later sad and angry for waking up. The label says not recommended for anyone under 18 and supposedly the suicidal "side effects" are supposed to stop by age 24. This is an extreme miscalculation/misstatement on the part of Trintellix. After recovery I scoured the internet with questions and curiosity, this label needs to be changed as it is knowingly a lie. There are literally hundreds like me. If not thousands.
