This medication has just really made me miserable after being so hopeful that it would help me. At first it was attributed to stretch pain, but it never got any better. It was like having a heart attack all day for three months. I went to the ER three times but everything checked out fine. Finally I looked at the side effects and sure enough chest pain, tightness, and heaviness in the chest is one of the primary side effects. They switched me to Lopressor and I felt better in a day, much better in a week, and now I’m pain free. Disappointing that none of the dozen or so doctors I saw thought of that, but just grateful it’s behind me now. Anxiety and panic attacks have returned after starting coreg for the first time in 16 years. Before I took this I was fine. | Be very careful with this drug and other beta blockers. If you can't tolerate them after two weeks, talk to your doctor. Let them know about ANY CNS affects you are experiencing and if they are new onset do NOT let them tell you that beta blockers don't cause depression or anxiety. I started out on 5mg lisinipril 1xdaily... Coreg 6.25. 2x daily.. Spironolactone 25mg 1daily. Then another fluid pill lasix 40mg. That was making me dehydrated. So no more lasix I keep that on back up for Rare occasions. I asked about. Entresto.. Told my doctor I would like to give it a try...I was taken off lisinipril..3 days later HELLO ENTRESTO. Now my regimen is Entresto .. Aldactone .. Coreg.. Lipitor ...Oh and my Heart Failure doctor wants me to stop Coreg. Start taking Metoprolol 10mg.. And Jardiance. BTW. Jardiance is a diabetes drug....good for Heart.Failure n diabetes.. Told my doctor I'm NOT taking Jardiance. I'm NOT diabetic yet.. All the medical evidence-based on STATINS. If your not diabetic or prediabetic your damn sure going to be within the next 3 month. CARDIOLOGIST.. MAYO CLINIC. Was one off 6 doctors I've listened too. Well I go back for blood work soon. If my LDL hasn't budged.. I'm stopping LIPITOR. My opinion is DO your homework on all these drugs. If it doesn't work tell your doctor.. There are Multiple cocktails out there ...You just got to find one that works for you. I stopped taking this poison (Carvedilol) after two and a half years, having it destroy my health, along with my career. Hopefully I will be able to restore my health and quality of life back to where it was before I started taking Carvedilol. Carvedilol was all negative. It was extremely harmful to my well being.
