I took depo because I had a miscarriage and it has been hell for me. The first 9 months I was uncontrollably bleeding. Past 2 other months its been on and off. You get terrible stomach pains, sometimes I dont feel real, like Im not in reality. I truly think depo is behind it. Now am experiencing twitching in my abdominal bad cramps tiredness aches in my upper back lower back pain in on my right side or abdomen period like cramps neck cramps breast pain like hell headaches migraines joint pain yawning sometime I ain't sleep pregnancy symptoms I tot I was pregnant I keep getting negative pregnancy test an feel pregnant I have seen my period from I stop bleed 5 weeks after taking the shot i stop da shot an still no period so I dont know wats goin on | I hope it its shot an am not pregnant...but if drug am not goin back on it I'll go on pill | F | 26 | 3 months 3X M | 9/8/2020 | 1 | Birth control | I bled on the progesterone only pill. Before the shot I was such a happy person so energetic now I hardly want to do anything, I guess different people have different side affects I don't have the same appetite as before I get sick of eating I take three bites and I can't taste the food after followed with nausea. I gained twelve pounds within a few months of starting, and experienced vaginal dryness and pain during intercourse because of it. I believe this was all because Depo only gives you progesterone, which meant I wasn't getting enough estrogen to even everything out. I switched to Levora (pill), and the spotting cleared up within days. Vaginal dryness and pain during intercourse ended about a month after. Still working to counter the weight gain. If you're looking for an easy method of BC, this is certainly it, and safer than an IUD (which I had, and it was a horror story when my body rejected it). This is now 1 year since my last depo injection, only just starting to see my periods again. Having really bad cramps and hot flushes and headaches. Iam just hoping I can start to lose some weight now and maybe get back some energy. | Please think twice about this.
