It was the worst experience of my life. I’ve been off it for months now and I am better but it took a while for me personally. I think I have ptsd from this stupid stuff, the things it can do to your mind are terrifying, it was like torture. I will never take it again. Even if some doctor says I need it to live I’d just rather not. That’s just me, I’ve heard it works for some but if you don’t have to chance it just don’t. I had received steroid shots without any side effects. I was worried about the pills after reading the warning, so I waited a few weeks before trying them. I had read online reviews that confirmed this drug is good for clearing clogged ears. I was fine the first two days (24 mg. and 20 mg.). I paced the dosage and took it with food. On the third morning, my BP was 150/90 which is high for me. I went ahead with my 4 mg with breakfast. A few minutes later, I felt really bad. My BP was 170/102. A few minutes later, my BP was 173/110! I ate a banana for potassium. For five hours my hear raced, I was dizzy, and restless. I wanted out of my skin. I was so stressed thinking that I had to keep taking this. Thank goodness I had a wonderful pharmacist who said it was fine to stop the drug without major withdrawals. He told me withdrawals are bad after 7+ days on med. I immediately stopped the drug. Hour by hour I felt better. Never again. This was my experience. I have friends | The fluid in my ear is less bothersome than being scared of going to the ER. My pharmacist assured me the fluid will go away on its own. My sister took prednisone and her ear cleared in a few days. I do not know if it was methlyprednisolone or regular. I could not withstand the side effects. In doubt, call your pharmacist.
