| 3 | Nausea, hiatal hernia, GERD | After about 5 days I noticed I was having cramps in my legs enough to wake me out of sleep, not realizing it was the Prevacid. I also had the worst headache of my life on day 6, feeling like I was going to die which started to dissipate, not realizing it must be the Prevacid, since I had been having less severe frontal or right sided headaches since I began on Prevacid. Then on the last day, day 8,having taken my last dose in the evening on Day 7, I woke up at 4AM with horrific leg pains and cramping that would not quit. I finally ended up taking a Percocet at 8AM, and the pain only went away for 4 hours...returning a little less, when Prevacid was wearing off. I know it helped my stomach problems a bit, but it is toxic to my system otherwise. | At this moment, at 2PM,(I took Day 7's dose last evening) I am still in pain, waiting for the Prevacid to wear off completely and hoping for a change for the better. My legs ache with all the muscles feeling sore and/or crampy but not as unbearable as it was from 4 to 9AM. I am drinking lots of water to help the medication pass through my system more quickly, hopefully. I am a RN married to a MD, and I almost went to the ER with the headache on day 6, fearing the worst, and now I believe the headache as well as the leg pains were from the Prevacid. It seems it may not happen on the first day but after several days of usage...and I hope it does not have a long half-life so that it will exit my system completely soon. | F | 55 | 7 days 30mg 1X D | 3/7/2011 | |
| 1 | Nausea, hiatal hernia, GERD | I am still having muscle pains in both legs and the achy feeling woke me up out of bed again afer the pain pill ( had to take oxycodone) wore off at 2 AM. I walked around and stretched my legs as well, and they still ache. It has been almost 48 hrs since my very last dose. Thankfully no more severe headaches. I just started taking aloe vera juice, inner fillet, to help my condition, mixing it with some pomegranate juice. I am feeling better GI wise, drinking more fluids to try to flush this Prevacid out of my system. My myalgia ( from the drug) has not gone away yet. *Oh and I eat bananas and have adequate potassium and other mineral intake. | F | 55 | 30mg 1X D | 3/10/2011 | ||
