Took 1 wed night...felt nausea...extreme night sweats. .took 1 thurs night...friday morning couldn't walk...extreme lower back pain...my thigh muscles were seized up..extreme pain to even rub my legs..thought I had kidney infection or flu couldn't get off the couch..extremely drowsy. I didn't take Sat night...legs felt much better Sunday..plus...I wasn't so tired..back still hurt. Didn't take Sunday night..this morning no back pain..no leg pain!!!seriously!!!this stuff is poison...stop taking and don't start if contemplating!..Called dr...talked to front desk...she sd she never heard of this being a problem she will talk to dr and call me back. I woke up feeling sick and VERY nervous. That quickly turned into a full blown panic attack and I felt like I was losing my mind. I was shaking, sick to my stomach, everything seems surreal and weird. My face felt numb and tingly and my head started to hurt. I called my Dr. right away. She said to take the progesterone maybe every 3rd day instead, at night and also to half my already tiny dose .5mg of estrogen. I agreed to try that by immediately decided to never, ever take that pill again! I have sent her a note requesting to try a cream instead and that way I can better monitor how much I am getting. I don't even want to try that to be honest because now I am terrified of ever feeling like that again. I'm happy for the gals who don't get bad side-effects from this horrid drug but I am warning you other who are thinking of trying it....these posts are NOT overreactions! This stuff can REALLY mess you up in a bad way. However, my mood swings are now much worse, depression has been much worse (I take an antidepressant and have increased that). Never did I speak or discuss my symptoms or concerns during my "consult." The whole focus was selling me prescriptions and supplements. One prescription was an weekly injection of B12. She only asked if I had an issue with needles. I said no. When I pick up the prescription and try to take it, I had to use YouTube to figure out how to inject myself. I eventually had to call the pharmacist twice because the B12 was not coming out of the vile. The woman looked at my lab results, started throwing one supplement bottle after another at me, gave me prescription hormones (testosterone daily, progesterone daily, estriol daily, DHEA, and thyroid) and then took out her calculator to give me prices on everything she was selling me from her office and the consult. This was $1110.57 just to get out of my first appointment. Her office is located in a financial building in which no one knew of her in the building and no directory was in the building to guide me. I spent 45 minutes in the building running around looking for her. By the time I found her office, I was exhausted and just wanted to give up. The first two weeks were fine, then I started having the worst hot flashes, I have never had them before, it was terrible. I also have fibromyalgia so any little change in medications sleep patterns really upsets me and puts me into a major spin! Then I couldn't sleep. I was taking 1/4 tsp of 6%, so they told me to increase it a bit, I started getting dizzy when driving, gaining weight, 2-3 lbs. at first, irritable, freezing cold. Then I had to adjust my thyroid meds and I still cannot get them right. The pharmascist told me to stop using the progest for 10 days my doctor told me just to decrease it, next day I got up and my stomach was so distended that I couldn't get any of my pants on, I have gained at least 4 inches at waist. I also can't pee and when I do there is a bit of blood on the tissue. I can't get anything accomplished because I can't concentrate. My feet were so swollen I couldn't even see my ankles and my hands are still swollen so that I can't get my wedding rings off and can't wear any of my other rings.
