I took 20 mg prednizone,after 2 days I felt 50% better. If you have high or even borderline blood pressure or glucose make sure you take a low dose or find an alternative. I had a friend whose glucose went up to 700 because idiot doctor prescribed a dose knowing he had diabetes with no insulin adjustment. The only treatment by ENTs is Prednisone. After taking it for 3 years on and off, I ended up with avasular necrosis in my hip and needed a hip replacement. I also now have blurry vision from glaucoma - my eyes had been improving before this. I also have osteoporosis and osteopenia. Don’t take this drug unless all other options have been explored. After 3 years it took ME going to an allergist to find out my hearing loss was caused by a combination of allergies. I also have an upper cervical misalignment (which does not allow drainage of my Eustachian tube). It is currently December, I am still experiencing symptoms such as dry mouth, puffy eyes, indigestion feeling but have slow bowel movements, gastritis, rapid heartbeat, trouble sleeping, depression and anxiety. I recently started experiencing upper abdominal discomfort feeling in chest and back. Hopefully, this is just gas. If I had a do over, I regret taking this medication. This drug disrupts my excitement of life in many ways. I pray that others and I feel better soon. I researched online that Predisone withdrawal can last from several weeks to 12 months. This period depends on how long you was taking the drug and the dosage.
