| 1 | severe muscle tension | After one day of taking this crap drug I woke up with a severely sore jaw and hands from clenching both all night long. I finally talked to a second doctor who told me to stop the baclophen as it could be having the opposite effect on me than intended. I have to take Baclofen (or an equivalent GABA drug). With baclofen the pain and spasms are greatly reduced. However, I also, as some others, find it a double edged sword with the side effects being as dehibilitating as the dystonia but it's worth it for less pain. I used to drink alot of alcohol but gave up entirely after taking Baclofen. This could be coincidence but I cannot drink more than one drink ocassionally on Baclofen. Baclofen is a 'serious' drug and I have concerns that it may widely be used for alcoholism.
