CLINDAMYCIN HCL  (CLINDAMYCIN HYDROCHLORIDE):  Clindamycin is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. It is an antibiotic that works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for virus infections (such as common cold, flu).  1  bacterial vaginosis Clostridium difficile- persistent diarrhea and pain, which is very difficult to treat... because it is caused by antibiotics wiping out the natural flora in your bowels, symptoms can be alleviated with medication, but it is very very hard to CURE. Clindamycin is on of the main antibiotics that causes C-diff because it is a broad spectrum antibiotic. Ask for something else. Better yet, don't take it unless your life depends on it. F 40 10 days
