It helped greatly with pain relief. However, I was not aware of potential dependency, and when I stopped taking it after two weeks I went through rather unpleasant withdrawal symptoms that included severe drug cravings. I would come home, run to the bathroom and take a swig from the bottle. I never experienced anything like it in my entire life... It took another 2 weeks of slowly tapering down. The liquid form made me have very weird dreams. I woke up a few times and wasn't sure where I was. I woke up with a fear. Probably from the weird, hallucination like dreams. It did not seem to help much with the pain. As I found out a tonsillectomy is very painfull so maybe nothing could have eased the pain!! I took the pill form 9 years ago when I had a herniated disc in my back and it helped tremendously with that pain but if I did not eat something first I would get nauseated. It also made me feel sleepy.
