By the third week while taking 2 x day (1mg pill) I was feeling always nauseas and I hated feeling that way, so I just decided to take 1 x day (1mg) and feel much better. I have been a smoker off and on for the past 12 years and became more of a heavy smoker soon after meeting my husband (he is a smoker too). With that said, we recently found out that we will need IVF to start a family and smoking can no longer be an option for us. I want to be healthy and have the best body for carrying a baby. The Chantix works like a charm. I quit after the prep week 7 days. I do have some cravings, and at times they are a bit strong but I just feel deep down inside that I don't need the cigarette and the urge will pass. I also drink a lot of water. If u have your support system in place you can be successful and will be able to get through the rough patches like yelling in the car in the middle of heavy traffic. My husband is completely understandable and let's me know when my mood has taken a bad turn. The worse part for me is the insomnia...I get very little sleep and this is every single night. I get up to go to the restroom and then I'm up for the rest of the morning. I'm averaging 4 to 5 hours a sleep every day.
