1  Side pain. I was in hospital. Change colour of my eyes, where hazel now there blue. Crawly skin itching, numb toes, very angry and aggressive. I wanted to find a window to run through. But my eyes felt like they we're going to pop out of my head I could hear my heart pounding. I had tremors and shaking. Uncontrollable crying because I was so angry. And I didn't know why I felt like this. I still have blue eyes and pins and needles in my toes. I feel like I lost a lot of brain cells since this happened. My memory is shot. If you haven't read the effects, don't take them. I truely thought I was going to die!!! F 55 3 days

1  Spinal Surgery no memory, slurred speech but I did not recognise this, clumbsy, lack of cognitive awareness, driving dangerous, poor decision making, lethargy, vision issues, appetite variable This medication was excellent to begin providing superb pain relief and also helped with anxiety after bad accident which was a bonus. Sleep patterns also better. I stopped taking as it stopped working and my life slowly deteriorated to the point I had to stop it. UK doctor happy to push me up to maximum dose during this process not explaining longer term effects albeit only taking it for 5 months. I wish I had researched it before taking any, give me pain over this poison any day. When you stop (which you most likely will as tolerance grows) then please taper over long period. I stopped over 14 days - bad mistake and horendous withdrawals including nausia, restlessness, cannot sleep, head buzz, deep depression and anxiety. I also wish to kill myself and it is hard not too as you want a way out. This is still going on 4 weeks after last dose but I will not go back. Please do not take this, I am in shock it is given to vulnerable people and when better will campaign to have it banned. It has destroyed me this drug. Notes with medicine say to taper over a week it is insane to indicate this! I take nothing else only paracetamol and ibuprofen during and after use of this drug. Be warned pop that pill in your mouth and you are dicing with your life. M 44 5 months

3  Fibromyalgia Lyrica decreased my fibro pain level from a 8/9 to a 5/6.That was on 50mg X2 daily.I had some side effects such as increased hunger, but it was managable until it was increased to 100mg x2 daily.I have gained weight because I am now ravenously hungry.I can eat until I'm sick and I still want to eat more!!!!I also now have blurred vision and puffiness in my face, hands and feet. And the increased dose from 4 weeks ago has not further improved my symptoms. So I lowered my dose on my own to 50mg x2 daily. My original dose.I'm glad I have some relief, but I cannot afford to gain more weight. My doctor said that weight gain was unlikely.Every review and/or forum I have been on has had the majority of users complaining of weight problems. The pharmaceutical companies certainly downplay the weight gain because who would take a med if you were told you will gain at least 10-20 pounds and the liklihood of more if you read the same reviews I've seen.  4  nerve damage in leg Weight gain!!! Sugar cravings. Lyrica has immensely helped with the horrible nerve damage in my foot and leg but the weight gain has been very depressing to me. If I miss a dose accidentally, my nerves feel like they are being scraped with a dull knife...the pain is terrible. It has helped me so much that I have had to weigh the options and have decided to keep taking it because of the relief it gives me. F 58 10 years

5  Severe nerve pain Slight "high sensation" the third day taking, on an empty stomach. You can avoid this by eating with your dose at first. This went away after a few days of taking the pills. First week had minor chest discomfort after taking, but was easily relieved with a xopenex puff, and stopped occurring after the first week. I went from being unable to sleep or function normally, to being able to sleep well without being awake days straight, or waking up with massive migraines. It really helps take the edge off of the severe pain I was having. Start on a low dose if you're worried. No weight gain. F 21 3 days

3  Neurological pain multiple sclerosi Brain fog. Difficulty speaking. Vertigo, swelling of legs and feet to the point that shoes don't fit, mania, difficulty sleeping..but always feel fatigued. Since I have rrms I am not sure which are side effects are from lyrica or maybe a coincidence and is from my existing condition. During a dizzy spell I went to the fridge for a drink not sure how but I think I temporarily blacked out and did a face plant into the counter. Have a terrible bruise on my chin and chipped my tooth (to side of front left tooth). Thanks a lot lyrica and Maine government officials that think this horrible drug is better than the narcotics I could take and would not have these side effects and would also help my severe chronic pain more than the tiny bit of pain relief I have had with this weird drug that I'm sure idiotic people will abuse. There is a BIG difference between an addict and a person suffering day in day out with chronic pain!!!!!! F 38 2 months

1  Pain in knee Other than skin rashes and feeling ill if I didn't take it consistently and weight gain, as well as dry mouth and eyes, I developed a great anxiety and anger. I developed terrible suicidal thoughts and Planned this to the last detail. Suicide caused by this drug is much more common that I thought. I have been depressed in the past but the emotional pain I experienced when on this drug was extreme. Coming off it has also been a nightmare with inability to sleep and feeling extremely hot and cold and nauseous all the time. This drug MUST be banned. F 62 1 years

1  Lupus, connective tissue disease Disorientation, foggy thinking, dizziness, itching, unsteady gait, difficulty with depth perception.Absolutely no improvement in my condition.  1  Pain More pain, swelling ankles, dizziness, tired all the time, weight gain, depression, mood swings, vision impaired. I would not recommend this drug.  1  Chest pain Brain fog, forgetfulness, tiredness, unable to string a sentence together, excessive thirst & hunger, dumbed down feeling, unable to drive as coordination is off key, generally out of it. For the past year I've had extreme chest pain and the doctors cannot tell me what's up with me. I've refused morphine, codeine, tramadol and asked for something that would NOT make me feel 'not me'. I've been prescribed Lyrica with the assurance of it not affecting me like opiates. On day 10 and im totally struggling with this drug as I'm 'out of it'. I wouldn't recommend if you drive, hold down a job, or run a family home. Please read up on AGENDA 21!!! We are being 'had' by our governments!!!!! Please be careful people as we are being controlled! I've stopped taking the drug today!!!! F 35 8 days
