I know with BC and especially having a baby your body can react differently. Well unfortunately for me after the second day I began to have a burning sensation in my vangina acommpanied by itching. I was so frustrated because I asked my midwife if that was a side affect or even a possibility and she said absolutely not. I then proceeded to remove NR way earlier than the 3 weeks and now I am dealing with the consequences. Cramping large amount of blood and absolutely no desire to do anything. My body is heavy and I have constant diarrhea. The NR has completely flipped my world up side down. NUVARING (ETHINYL ASTADIOL; ETONOGESTREL): This product is a vaginal ring containing combination hormone medication and is used to prevent pregnancy. It contains 2 hormones: a progestin (etonogestrel) and an estrogen (ethinyl estradiol). It works mainly by preventing the release of an egg (ovulation) during your menstrual cycle. It also makes vaginal fluid thicker to help prevent sperm from reaching an egg (fertilization) and changes the lining of the uterus (womb) to prevent attachment of a fertilized egg. If a fertilized egg does not attach to the uterus, it passes out of the body. Using this product does not protect you or your partner against sexually transmitted diseases (such as HIV, gonorrhea, chlamydia).
