I began taking Yasmin in October '04 and one morning in late January '05 I woke up and felt like something just snapped. The slightest annoyance would set me off and I felt like I was coming out of my skin. I began having panic attacks (10 attacks in a day was not uncommon.) I could not eat, I didn't want to have anything to do with my family and I could barely function at work. At the lowest point I was on the verge of suicide. I know that this is most likely the worst case scenario for side effects, but if what I went through could help one person it is worth posting it. At my lowest point I was put on several medicines for depression that didn't help, but finally found Effexor and Ativan that helped tremendously.
