My Doctor prescribed Imitrex and it did make the headaches go away within an hour. I thought it was a wonderful drug. After 6 months of use (approx. 3 times per month) I had a very frightening experience after taking Imitrex. Had cold sweats, dizziness, shaking and weakness and felt very faint. That was the last time I tried Imitrex. I have actually taken this drug for over 30 years, sometimes 4 tabs with a migrane, or 2 tabs in the am and 2 tabs around 5pm. The ads do not disclose that you can take the same ingrediants separately for about 1/4 the cost per dose. Madison Ave loves consumers that do not read labels.
