| 5 | Breast cancer stage 4 bone Mets | General stiffness of joints in body but minimal and not debilitating -- but this 4th year I'm getting arthritic reactions in my lower spine and hip...with exercise it eases -- but I can see it's going to increase in pain/debilitation .... but it has put me into remission for 4 years...I wouldn't change anything. So grateful for the drug. Understand that many people experience horrible pain, but it is pain you can get used to and being active definitely helps. FEMARA (LETROZOLE): This medication is used to treat certain types of breast cancer (such as hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer) in women after menopause. Letrozole is also used to help prevent the cancer from returning. Some breast cancers are made to grow faster by a natural hormone called estrogen. Letrozole decreases the amount of estrogen the body makes and helps to slow or reverse the growth of these breast cancers.
