5  sBCC Had a mild headache and some sneezing at times but unsure if related to Aldara. I want to share my experience as when I was offered Aldara for the first time, I read so many scary reviews, not that it didn't work but that there was an extreme reaction and flu symptoms. This had me worried especially as it was during the pandemic, so I opted for mohs on a superficial bcc on upper lip. It was one cut, but I have a scar from nose into cutaneous lip now, swollen lip on that side and constant feeling of pulling even over two years later. So when I had another small SBCC diagnosed on forehead and Aldara was offered again, I decided on that, especially as I talked to a second opinion derm and explained my concerns, he said you don't have to have an extreme reaction for it to work, you just want a reaction for at least a few weeks. He told me to keep in close contact with my derm and can alter things if there is an overreaction. This was the comfort and reassurance I needed. I never had an over reaction. For the first couple weeks, there was no reaction, then started having one that got stronger manly in the last two weeks of the 6 wk treatment, but nothing terrible at all. The doctor called it cleared a couple months later and I don't have any scar, feels completely normal there. F 53 6 weeks

5  Bcc This has been a miracle drug for me in that it has saved me many surgeries so far which would have been a thousand times worse ; I the process of inflammation shows it's working ;; ! I personally stop the process when the inflammation comes until it calms a bit so I don't get open wounds ; I thiiink that the symptoms broadly reported here show the systemic involvement that I would guess happens when the drug hits the bloodstream without the skin barrier … ; I do think I very was tired on some of my larger ones but so far my skin healed perfectly & I am grateful!  5  Genital and Anal warts This cream works , it just needs one to be very patient and above all strong . I've had genital and anal warts for six months and the doctor I was using kept on giving me different medication that didn't work . I changed my doctor and he prescribed Aldara . Week one was a walk in the park , things started heating up on week 2 then I stopped using for a few days and I continued . I'm on week 4 now and I can see the difference. The pain gets too much at times but it's really saving my sex life . M 30 4 weeks

5  GW The first week was extremely painful, but it only took that first week for my GW to clear up, Although I only had 4 around my rectum and they were rather small. But after that first week and the warts disappearing and some time to heal from that, there is no longer any pain/burning and only slight itching/irritation that is almost un noticeable majority of the time. It has been 2 months and no more have showed up Very pleased with the results of this cream, with how fast it removed them and have not had any new ones appear. It can be painful but I feel it is worth going through some pain to deal with something like this. M 20 2 months

5  GW Ok so i was so worried about using this(imiquiod) because of all the bad reviews! Like sh!t scared. But i'm glad i did, worked amazingly! I only had one wart, and i had cryotherapy that did absolutely nothing. The dr prescribed the imiquiod and really didn't think i'd use it, because i'd read so many bad stories. Anyway i got very desperate as the freezing hadn't worked and warticon was out of stock. I only used the tiniest bit, literally the size of a water droplet, rubbed it into the skin, fanned it abit so it would dry and put aqeous cream on the surrounding areas. One box has three satchets(lasts three days) after one use i would throw the satchet away and use a new satchet each time. Instructed by my dr. I had no side effects at all, no burning, no aches, no nothing. Just a little tingle for the first 5 mins after i put it on. I used it once every other day, 4 times in total and its totally cleared up. I wanted to post this for anyone else who has gw and lost hope of anything working. Please give this a try but only use the tiniest bit( like a drop of water), rub in, let dry, put aqueous cream on surrounding areas as a protection barrier. Good luck x Would def recommend, but please read instructions and follow WORD FOR WORD F 32 4 days

5  HPV-Genital Warts Sores/ulcers, inflammation, burning & itching at application site. Most of my warts are completely gone. The 2 remaining (of 5) are consistently decreasing in size and I'm expecting them to be cleared within the next 2 weeks. When I found out the price of the medication I decided to purchase 1 month's supply (12 sachets for 3 applications per week) and actually use 1 sachet per week. So essentially I get 3 applications from each sachet so my "1 month" supply will actually last the full length of my recommended treatment (3 months). Using less of the cream has really allowed me to have tolerable side effects and save money! I use it exactly as directed and I use my finger to apply and I always use a mirror to make sure I'm applying it exactly in the right place. I'm very satisfied so far. F 29 1 months

5  Genital warts Mild itching and burning at site of application but nothing unbearable. Slightly redness of skin around application site So I only bought 3 sachets of this after my pharmacist told me how much it was per sachet. Unfortunately this meant it didn't come with an information leaflet and like a lot of other doctors (it seems) mine didn't tell me exactly how to use this stuff. I'd seen the warts for maybe 2 weeks before starting the aldara so I guess I started it early on which helped. Luckily I read a lot of reviews and advice to use it sparingly. I only had about 4 small warts and a larger one so the sachet would last me 4 applications in the beginning. I used it every other night religiously. At first they seemed to get bigger and slightly white, but by the second week all the small ones were gone and the larger one had shrunk to maybe the size of the smaller ones when I started. On week three now and they're all gone! I used a q-tip to apply and rub in (not my finger) and I rubbed Vaseline around the unaffected areas when I was applying. During the day and on my off nights, I applied some aloe Vera gel (not cream) with a bit of tea tree oil to ease the itching. Worked wonders. Also was taking selenium, folic and b12, cod liver oil, garlic, omega 3,6&9 and vitamin c to boost my immune system. Hopefully they stay off! I think perhaps people are a. Over using (in 3 weeks I haven't opened my third sachet yet and it's worked) b. Having what sounds like allergic reactions to something in the cream, in which case obviously stop. Be patient and use sparingly but this worked for me! F 30 3 weeks

5  genital warts I am 32 years old. I have had GW since I was 17. I cleared myself of them. But they have returned three times since. Each time I've had them frozen off with liquid nitrogen, burned with TCA acid and prescribed Aldara. Usually the freezing works for me but this time it hasn't. So my Dermatologist prescribed Aldara again. I use it 3x per week. I try to only put it on the warts them selves but it is kind of hard to do. I am one that has bad side effects from the medication. Ive had red painful sores and crusty skin on my genitals each time I use it. I would rather deal with it and be clear of the symptoms of HPV. The last time I used it a few months ago they were gone after about 3 weeks. But a week after I stopped using Aldara I had to start using it again because they came back. I am currently in my second week again. I will use it 3 times a week like the Dermatologist said no matter what. It's not like they are life threatening. Just very embarrassing. I hope this helps someone and good luck getting rid of this embarrassing virus. Feel free to contact me. I've been dealing with this for 15 years. M 32 1 weeks

5  HPV Itching, redness, flakiness. My treatment includes TCA and Aldara. I use the Aldara as directed and apply a small amount directly to the areas that need it 3 times a week and rub it in until you can't see the cream, per the directions. I'm not sure why the consensus of many people seems to be that clearing up warts should be symptom free and painless. That's not how this works. That's not how any of this works. I got the expected redness, itching, and flakiness expected when healing up an abnormal skin condition. Also, the cream is working quickly in conjunction with the TCA treatment. I have zero abnormal or unexpected side effects. F 29 3 weeks

5  Genital warts Back pain, nausea, slight burning. People are really over-exaggerating their pain. Quit being such pussies. It's not like a full on flu. I missed no work and I have 2 full time jobs. You will get yeast infections especially if you're diabetic, which I am. My warts went away completely. Unfortunately, I had a shoulder surgery and as that healed up fast, my warts came back. Treating them now. It is only one wart that sprouted. As opposed to the first occurrence which was about 5. Wrap it up fellows, you never know who has this scourge. I'll never have sex without a condom ever again. M 44 3 months

5  HPV None. Literally. Maybe some itching, but I always itch (thanks, pads). I feel so incredibly lucky seeing the other reviews on here. I'm about to start my third week on Imiquimod, and my semi-large wart is all but gone. It just vanished, almost overnight! My doctor recommended taking a multivitamin with folic acid in it, and I think that helped a lot too (I have a horrendous immune system, and folic acid boosts it). I also second that you don't need to use a lot of cream. I got 6 uses, or two full weeks, out of one packet, and obviously I'm having a ton of improvement. F 23 2 weeks

5  Genital warts Irritation and itching. I had a bout of several genital warts, all spaced all over my genital area (clitoris included people.) After having read about this treatment on line, I was so scared that I did not use it for about two weeks but for me the liquid nitrogen was way too painful, especially on my lady button. I really want to spread this news as much as possible; EVERYBODY REACTS DIFFERENTLY. Please, please do not be discouraged. I am very sensitive to pain (translation, wimp. I also tend to react very easily to things) and have gone through this with no burning sensations, absolute no side-effects like the flu symptoms and/or headaches etc. aside expected sensitivity and by the first week of use I noticed a considerable difference. DOSAGE: I do not know if the frequency with which people are using it is what is causing problems but I will note what I did; -3 times per week on alternating days e.g. Monday, Wednesday and Friday -Left on for no less than 6 hours and no longer than 10 (I always left it on for 8-10) -The first week I used it certain areas got very sensitive so I put off using it for a week (perhaps leaving it for a week let it do its work instead of bombarding my system) -After the week of rest I went back to using it for a week, then left it for TWO weeks due to sensitivity (Warts are all practically gone by this point except a tiny remnant) I have now just finished the three sachets for the third week of treatment and am wart-free. Do take into account that people F 22 3 weeks

5  HPV Genital Warts I had some swelling and minor irritation/redness near my labia (burning) but nothing unbearable like many of the testimonials I read prior to starting the drug. The key is to use a TINY amount on the tip of a Q-tip or toothpick and applying it SPARINGLY to the wart. I sit with my legs spread open so it has time to dry and won't spread to other unaffected areas. This is 100% a miracle cream. I had about 4 GWs and was mortified at their formation. I applied before bed 3x weekly (every other day) and all GWs miraculously disappeared within 2 weeks - about 6 applications. Thankfully I have a drug plan that covered the entire cost because I hear it is extremely expensive when purchased outright. Even if you have to purchase it you can get by on very few packets if you use sparingly. I was GW free for 5 months and just noticed 2 new ones appear, so am restarting treatment with leftover packets (that aren't expired). I'm hopeful that their disappearance will be just as fast as last time. F 27 3 weeks

5  GW Burning, Itchy, flu like symptoms I promised myself that I would write here if it all went well because I like to be positive! And for anyone that is about to use this cream for GW please know that it will be painful but it will be worth it!!! I saw a reduction of the warts immediately. I obviously put too much cream since I was desperate to get rid of them and got horrible flu like symptoms but I just went on about my day because I figured it was the cream and normally you get a fever when you have a cold to kill the virus (that's the bodies mechanism) so in a weird way I was happy I was having side effects it meant it was working! At times I got discouraged because I felt like they would come back. I had to skip some of the treatments since my genial area was on fire super swollen and burned so bad, I knew adding more cream would cause other serious problems down there. So I would put desitin and that would help a lot. Since most of the warts had cleared up I only used a little bit of cream only on the warts but to be honest I would put it all over to be safe. I figured out a way to help the rest of the skin not to get hurt by the cream so I would break a cotton ball and line it around the inside of my v*** so that only the lips had the cream on. In a month or so I am all cleared!!! I never gave up and even when I could barely see them I still finished the whole treatment. F 25 1 months
