I’ve NEVER had allergies or asthma in my life until my last year of my 30’s and it’s still an enigma as to “WHY” Pulmicort has improved my way of life and has lessened my 3 to 4x’s a day use of Albuterol. TIP FOR USERS: I write the date I first use it with waterproof marker on the canister. Then I calculate number of doses and get an idea of when I will be running out, just in case flag doesn't drop. PULMICORT (BUDESONIDE): Budesonide is used to control and prevent symptoms (wheezing and shortness of breath) caused by asthma. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as corticosteroids. It works directly in the lungs to make breathing easier by reducing the irritation and swelling of the airways. This medication must be used regularly to be effective. It does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden asthma attacks. If an asthma attack occurs, use your quick-relief inhaler as prescribed.
