The worst mood swings ever!!!! | I would not recommend this method of birth control to anyone. I took OTC Lo for about a year. It was probably about 5 years ago. I've always been very laid back. Even when I had my periods I wasn't really that moody. Well I started taking these dumb pills and I turned into a psycho! I once called my boyfriend at the time and literally cussed at him for over an hour because of a traffic jam. I remember my stepdad saying to me all the time "It's not normal to get THAT mad about everything". Daily things that would simple annoy normal people, sent me into a fit of rage. My boyfriend eventually broke up with me and to this day I'm know as "the ex who needed anger management". I used to have nice, thick hair, but this pill made my hair so thin. I would lose so, so much in the shower and was constantly shedding. I didn't connect the two until my hairdresser mentioned it might be my birth control. She was definitely right because I stopped taking this pill about 3-4 months ago and have noticed a significant improvement within the past 1-2 months. My hair is going back to the way it used to be! Aside from the hair loss, this pill also dramatically decreased my sex drive. Before, I had a very high libido, but this pill made it much lower and also caused a lot of vaginal dryness. Now that I'm off it, I am back to my normal self again (and of course my bf couldn't be happier). I've read many, many reviews in which people have the same complaints. I would never take this pill again. However, now after having had the severe depression and pms with this pill, I will be trying something new or going back to Yaz (despite the problems there) because this one is ruining me. I suspect that it is too high a dose for me or that I do not do well with the combination pills as opposed to the set-does pills. I first began taking it when i was 19 for around six months i was taking it on an empty stomach in the evening and would be up all night sick and felt like i had morning sickness when i finally got up. I would often feel extreme anger towards my fiance and still do towards my now husband which i am very lucky he married me. I would often be fine one moment then freak out and become enraged or sad the next. THIS PILL IS NOT WORTH THE LIGHTER/SHORTER PERIODS and reduced acne. just think about the things it is doing to your body that you can't see or feel! Stopping this pill ASAP. BC affects everyone differently but there is no reason for a person to have to feel this way. If you have been taking this medication and have noticed a major change in your personality IT'S NOT YOU! The pill has given me a kidney infection and Tons of headaches. I feel sorry for anyone who has had to go threw such pain with this pill. I would rather be extremely sick in the hospital for a month than what I have felt with this pill for the past horrible 7 months.
