| 3 | GAD | The first week or 2 I felt like myself, I had no signs or symptoms of anxiety and after that was downhill, I'm always having racing thoughts with severe anxiety. I have also experienced hyperventilation at times. I cut the dose in half because I'm highly sensitive to medication. Thank goodness I did . This medication does not work for me although there are many people that seem to thrive on it. I have stopped taking it and have returned to feeling like myself not a crazy zombie as someone else reported. I think you have to try something to see how it works but to me it felt like being poisoned . Again , for some people it works So I can't say it's a terrible drug. However within 5 days on buspar I did not want to talk to him, kiss him, or feel anything for him. It was horrible and I did not know why I felt this way. I also had AWFUL heart palpitations. I felt like I was going to die like 30 minutes after taking it every day. After I got off of the medication (I just refused to take it) I felt better instantly and I regained my sense of togetherness with my boyfriend. My anxiety has traditionally been caused by events or situations, but this bout was over nothing. It is almost as if the drug created a problem to fix. I am the only person who has experienced the ED side effect that I have see. I did notice that less than 1/1000 experienced it with the trials. But, having never had a problem, I don't know what else to blame it on? Basically, I just feel numb down there. Hopefully, that will clear up, and the drug will start doing what it is supposed to. I am now taking the medicine at a time other than mealtime and I believe the side effect has lessened as a result. I began taking this medication to stop an eye twitch that I developed three months ago. At eleven days, I still have the twitch but to a much lessor degree and I feel much more even keel than I have in quite some time. Additionally, for any one who has taken a psychotropic drug in the past, I have NOT had a decrease in my libido!
