I can honestly say it has helped me all around... Cymbalta made me feel more depressed and made it extremely if not impossible to orgasm, but I find it easier to with Wellbutrin, and the sensations are more intense. The only negative side effects I would say are dizziness that make me feel very disoriented and almost nauseous at times, and the dizzy spells last for a few days... I also have a harder time recalling events that happened a few seconds ago... Weight loss, approx. 6 lbs so far. Decreased appetite | I started out very slow with this medicine. I had bad experiences in the past with other meds, so i wanted to start at a low dosage and move up slowly. I started at 1/4 of the 150, and moved up by 1/4 about every four days. After about a month now, I am at 275mg. My side effects have definitely faded. I experience occasional irritability. My appetite has remained smaller, and I've lost about 6-8lbs. I am already feeling better. More motivated, more energy, generally happy and satisfied. I would like to see more improvements though on my social anxiety. In the hypnagogic state I had really violent jerks, mostly from my abdomen (when you fall asleep and you jerk awake, Wellbutrin made these worse.) Also, when falling asleep one of two things tended to happen: 1) I'd feel weird and the world didn't seem real, and felt I was crazy and was always crazy and would never stop being crazy, 2) Nightmares, really bad nightmares right as I would fall asleep. Vivid too; I woke up one time convinced that I had been raped. About an hour later I looked back and realized I've never been raped before--that made me feel really weird, lol. Small muscle twitches when awake too. Tense muscles. Able to focus better and more motivated (even when not taking for depression.) Tinnitus! Really bad tinnitus! Excitability, anxiety, panic/paranoia at first. Dry mouth, so keep a water bottle with you guys. Wellbutrin can cause weight loss, but if you end up dehydrated from cotton mouth, you | Its a great medication. SSRIs make me feel zombie-like, but I feel like a normal productive person on Wellbutrin. Some people experience nausea at first...so I recommend taking with food if you're someone with a sensitive stomach. Also, for IR users, morning and lunch time are good times to take it, but if you can, avoid night time. As for SL and XL users, Wellbutrin's half life and absorbancy rate at SL and XL are such that insomnia isn't going to hit particularly differently (if at all) if you take it at night or during the day. | F | 18 | 120 days 450 3X day | 4/8/2012 | 4 | recurring depression, anxiety | For the first week or so I had an on-and-off headache that made me feel hungover.
