5 | 24/7 Nausea | Blurry Vision was the only side effect I felt in the beginning, which was okay with me since I already have bad vision. However after only the third patch I noticed the vision in my right eye and gotten very blurry. When I looked in the mirror my right pupil (patch was behind my right ear) had completely overtaken my iris. Took about 6-7 hours to go down halfway. | I haven't experienced the withdrawal I see people talking about yet, but I also only removed the patch 7 hours ago when I noticed my pupil had dilated. I started this without doctor recommendation because it was a patch I could get without prescription and none of my doctors could figure out any solutions for the nausea I felt. It worked, but if the withdrawal is as bad as it sounds, it might not be completely worth it. | F | 21 | 12 days 1.5mg 2X W | 11/26/2020 | 5 | Cruise | I used the patch for a three day cruise. I had no side effects or difficulty after removing the patch. While on the cruise it was very windy but I felt great. Had cocktails with no issues. I would definitely use it again | F | 63 | 1 days 1.5 mg/ 3 | 3/9/2017 | 5 | Cruise (sea sick) | Both myself and my son have to take this anytime we go on a boat or cruise. Neither of us have any issues except after we get back we have some blurry vision. | Love this patch. My son and I can enjoy ocean fishing and cruising with this patch. I have been using it for about 9 yrs now and my son started at age 11 and is now 15. Neither of us have had any major issues. We enjoy boating 100%, after we get back and take it off we have some blurry vision for about 2-3 days but 100% worth it to us. | F | 38 | 8 days 1X AN | 11/2/2016 | 5 | Multiple sclerosis symptoms | No side effects were more noticeable then my MS symptoms in general. It helps every day with my constant vertigo, dizziness, and my nausea. If the patch stops working after 3 days I need to put on another because my symptoms come back in full force and its unbearable. I have a hard time leaving the house without one that is actively helping to control my symptoms | I really wish there were more studies about the long term effects of regular usage | F | 20 | 90 days 1.5mg 1X day | 3/17/2016 | 5 | Going across country in RV. | Actually wore patches for almost a month. When I removed the patch I could not get up for two days and after a week am experiencing severe nausea and dizziness. | I wish I would have know about the withdrawal affects after wearing the patch for so many days. I have used the patch many times before for shorter trips and did not experience the withdrawal symptoms. | F | 41 | 10 days 1.5 MG | 7/28/2015 | 5 | Motion sickness | Dry mouth, thirst, tiredness, a little foggy | I've used this 5 or 6 times. Usually on a boat. I do get carsick so on a trip to Asia where we were driving to factories on dirt roads that were windy I wore one. Never felt nassaus. Had a trip 3 days ago that required me to be on a bus, used the patch and was fine. I evern READ in the backseat of the car! Dry mouth and tiredness are better than nausea and vomiting. Use correct dose. It's been a game changer for me. | F | 44 | 2 days 1 mg 1X W | 6/11/2015 | 5 | to avoid motion sickness on cruise | During I had the patch I did not experience motion sickness or side effects but after I took it off, it was horrible : vomits, upset stomach, dizziness. I thought I had a stomach flu. I finally recovered and could travel back to my home. It spoiled my vacations for 4 days. DO NOT USE THIS PATCH. | F | 52 | 3 days 30 1X day | 5/5/2015 | 5 | Motion Sickness | Blurred vision while reading/up close, one pupil dilated much bigger than the other | Works like a charm! Other than the blurred vision and odd-looking lopsided pupils, I have no side effects from this. Sorry to hear it doesn't work for everybody. For me, it's been a god-send on my vacations (cruises, boat/train rides, windy roads). | F | 47 | 1 patch 2X W | 8/15/2014 | 5 | after surgery this patch is great i | F | 42 | 1 days 72hr one | 8/6/2014 | 5 | Prevention of Motion sickness | I used the patch to prevent motion sickness when I went to Disney World and Universal Studios. The patch completely prevented sickness when I rode the roller coasters and motion simulators. I did experience some blurry vision. I also felt lightheaded the day after I stopped using the patch. Overall, the patch completely worked for me and I will definitely use it again. | F | 21 | 7 days | 7/5/2014 | 5 | motion sickness, mountain drive | dry mouth | I'm grateful that this product exists. It worked perfect for me, no motion sickness on twisty mountain roads in the back seat of a sports car for several hours! I took it off when we got to the destination, no side effects othe than dry mouth. I will use this medicine everytime instead of the over the counter stuff which doesn't work. | F | 44 | 1 days 1.5 mg 1X day | 5/27/2014 | 5 | Water Motion Sickness | None | My wife and I have been putting on this patch for snorkeling and cruise line trip for the past 12 years. Always works GREAT. I am really surprised at all the negative feedback. Guess we've been lucky. Would not leave on a trip without it. | M | 65 | 7 days 1X W | 9/6/2013 | 5 | Frequent vomiting | Blurry, dilated eyes, dry mouth, felt like lump in throat, red irrated at patch site after over a month. | F | 20 | 2 months 1.5 mg | 7/30/2013 | 5 | Vertigo | No side effects | Only thing that stopped my vertigo, nausea, and vomiting that lasted for four weeks before I got it. Within 30 minutes of having one on, my vertigo stopped. Hasn't been back since. Highly recommend this for anyone with vertigo. Be careful and wash your hands after handling. This is a strong sympathetic system medicine. | F | 34 | 21 days 30 mg 1X day | 5/4/2013 | 5 | Deep sea fishing | Dry mouth | These patches are amazing! I get violently sick on the high seas. To the point of dry heaving the entire day non stop. I love fishing so much that my doctor starting prescribing me these patches about 8 years ago. I put one on the night before my fishing trip and fish for 10-15 hours the following day. I take it off the second we step off the boat. No problems! Awesome stuff! By the way, the over the counter motion sickness meds don't work on me. | M | 58 | 1 days 1.5 mg 1X day | 12/27/2012 | 5 | daily nausea | After 6 months of nausea 24/7 God send me my miracle this patch best thing ever | M | 45 | 2 months 1.5 mg | 10/26/2012 | 5 | Motion sickness-airplane | F | 47 | 7 days 1 patch | 12/28/2011 | 5 | Motion sickness | A bit of dry mouth while taking and absolutely NO side effects after. | I suffer from extreme motion sickness. TRANSDERM SCOP (SCOPOLAMINE): This skin patch is used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by motion sickness or recovery from anesthesia and surgery. This medication works by correcting the imbalance of natural substances (acetylcholine and norepinephrine) that can occur in motion sickness. It also blocks certain signals to the brain that can cause nausea and vomiting. This medication is not recommended for use in children. (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)
