MONISTAT 7  (MICONAZOLE NITRATE):  This medication is used to treat vaginal yeast infections. Miconazole reduces vaginal burning, itching, and discharge that may occur with this condition. This medication is an azole antifungal. It works by stopping the growth of yeast (fungus) that causes the infection. The vaginal product comes in 2 forms (a vaginal cream or tablet). Some products also come with a skin cream to be applied to the area around the outside of the vagina. Ask your doctor before using this medication for self-treatment if this is your first vaginal infection. This medication only works for vaginal fungal infections. You may have a different type of infection (such as bacterial vaginosis) and may need a different medication. If you have fever, chills, flu-like symptoms, stomach/abdominal pain, or a bad-smelling vaginal discharge, do not use this medication.  1  Yeast Infection Immediate Itching and Burning that was not associated with the Monitstat 7. I was better off dealing with the original irritation. It kept me up all night with excruciating burning. This medication is not worth anyones time, money, or pain. It should be taken off the market. Diflucan seems to be the best so far.  1  yeast infection I was on antibiotics and developed a yeast infection as a result (its soo fun being a girl..) so I had had one a couple years before and I decided to get monistat-7 because i remembered that the monistat-3 had made me burn like someone was holding a lighter in my crotch. THIS PRODUCT is just as bad!!! DO NOT take it. I couldn't sleep at all, because I had the most uncomfortable burning sensation that would not go away and a feeling like i needed to pee or rip my crotch off my body. SOMEONE develope a new drug!!!! The drugs are worse than the infections themselves. F 23 2 days

 1  Yeast infection I had very severe burning and itching due to the application of Monistat-7 and I couldn't get any sleep because of it. I recently discovered that it was making me bleed, so I stopped using it. F 21 2 days

 1  chronic yeast infections, 2 yrs I took this so often trying to get rid of my problems and Kaiser (my HMO) wasn't helping. Finally at some point I developed an allergy to it which I think may have been one of the reasons I had chronic yeast infections. I had burning and abdominal pain. A year later I took it because I couldn't afford a prescription medication at that point and had a repeat of the burning and abdominal pain. I suspect a lot of people are developing immunities to these types of medications. Overpriced and the amount of product in the tubes has been decreasing over the years. :( I'm angry that women spend so much on a product to get their symptoms under control when they don't have a good alternative (for many people oral anti-fungals are not effective at some point).  2  Antibiotics After I inserted the Monistat 7 I noticed intense itching like most have said on here. I instantly felt cramping in my lower abdomen after inserting. As I laid in bed my cramps began to get worse and I started to feel sick to my stomach. I ended up running to the bathroom and having diarrhea. I don't know if this was a coincidence or not but I felt completely fine before using monistat 7. After reading all reviews, I'm not going to continue. I'm in desperate need of relief from this yeast infection but my reaction and the reactions of others isn't worth it for me. These's a possibility I could be pregnant so I was hoping this was my best option. Very disappointed. F 29 1 days

 2  YI Holy hell fire. It felt like satan decided to crawl up my vagina and spit fire all over the place. It also made my butt hole itch so bad. I wasn't sure how but mosquitoes found their way up there I swear. I have never panicked so bad before in my entire life when I first used this product. I laid in my bed with an ice pack on my vagina. It made it feel a lot better. F 20 2 days

 2  YI Burning, Stinging, Itching. I literally just went cross eyed when I inserted my first tube in me. Tonight is my first night using this product and oh my lord. The burning and stinging is so bad I cant take it. And im almost 34 weeks pregnant. I dont know what else to do. I want to get rid of this itching and burning from this yeast infection. I would definitely not recommend this product. The pain is worse when you use it. F 22 1 days

 2  Suspected yeast infection Intense burning and itching for about 20-30 minutes after insertion. Unbearably so. But I have noticed during the daytime the itching is pretty much gone. It sounds like others have used comparable products without the unbearable side effects of monistat7. I will be seeking an alternative next time but I will try to at least finish out this 7 day treatment F 26 4 days

 2  Y.I The 1st day it was ok 2nd day a little burn 3rd day swelled, bumps, and A slight smell. Stop taking it went to the Dr to see what was wrong and happening. Test result came back negative for everything. Had an allergic reaction to it never will i use it again F 34 3 days

 2  Yeast infection i literally wanna die it itches so badly I wanna scream at whoever approved this product I’m on day 3 of the 3-day treatment and I feel like it shouldn’t itch this bad at this point??? This is literally hell. The only upside is that I just had a fun time reading everyone else’s equally as sh experience. Wow. I can’t describe this it’s the worst itch I’ve ever felt. F 25 3 days

 2  Yeast infection If anyone out there is wondering what it would feel like to have Satan ejaculate inside of you, look no further than Monistat 7. Would not recommend if you are NOT trying to get pregnant with Lucifer's progeny. The white hot mega-itch fire semen of the Devil that they market as Monistat is sure give you the ride of your life.  2  Yeast infection This is my first time having a yeast infection, the doctor told me to get this product but the itch and burning it's so bad I can't take it 2nd night and I let it sit in there for about 15 min and after that I've been in the shower ever sense trying not to rip my insides apart 😱 Calling the doc on Monday F 30 2 days
