Decided to stop Hydrea until this clears up. These ulcers are very very painful. It is starting to go away. This is the by product of long term use of Hydrea. This disease ruined my retirement. HYDREA (HYDROXYUREA): This medication is used by people with sickle cell anemia to reduce the number of painful crises caused by the disease and to reduce the need for blood transfusions.
