At first my only side effects were dry eye and mouth, but on the third day of taking it I developed severe belching along with bloating/abdominal distention after eating or drinking to the point I looked pregnant. I was working at my city government for an internship, and I had to shake a lot of people's hands, so I continued to take it for about a month until I couldn't put up with the bloating/distention anymore. Except the bloating/distention and belching never went away! 8 months later I still look pregnant after eating one meal, even drinking a glass of water makes me bloat! Why did this happen? I already suffered from chronic constipation, and information about the drug says it slows GI motility and relaxes the stomach and intestinal muscles. So I guess I was susceptible to the worsening GI effects of the drug. ROBINUL (GLYCOPYRROLATE): Glycopyrrolate is a long term medication used to treat ongoing lung disease such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), including chronic bronchitis and emphysema. It must be used regularly to reduce and prevent symptoms such as shortness of breath and wheezing. This may lead to a decrease in time lost from work due to COPD. This medication belongs to a class of drugs known as anticholinergics. It works by relaxing the muscles around the airways so that they can open wider to make breathing easier. Glycopyrrolate does not work right away and should not be used to relieve sudden breathing problems. If wheezing or sudden shortness of breath occurs, use your quick-relief inhaler as prescribed.
