| 3 | Prevent unwanted pregnancy. | I have had abdominal pains that would make me cry and have been really nauseated after eating something. My bleeding stopped completely for the first month. This is now the second month I have been on it and I've had my period 3 times since then. I'm always weak and never have an appetite. | I know I may get ignorant comments about being 16 and having sex, but I have protected sex and my mom thought this would be the best thing in the case of which a problem would occur. My appetite greatly increased,my moods were eratic I was either crying or angry, I felt depressed all the time. And had intense lower back pain, it felt like a truck was on my back. I just didn't feel good I felt out of control of my body, like my body was my worst enemy and doing what I wanted it to do. Then came the acne. All in all this was my first time on the depo shot and it is my last. I would rather get pregnant then feel this way for the rest of my life. Had extreme headaches that caused papilladima and 6th nerve palsy. My Drs say its unlikely depo would cause this but I know I deteriorated straigt after taking this killer drug and they did mri scans and all sorts of tests but cannot find the cause.hospitalised for almost a month. I still experience a slight headach my skin went two colours. I regret the day I injected this because I'm still recovering from double vision. DO NOT USE THIS. I was an emotional wreck for months. Even scarier, I started having episodes of vertigo about twice a week, where the world would suddenly start spinning for a few seconds. Never knew when it would hit - I even had a few episodes while driving. After three months, when it's supposed to have "worn off" the episodes started tapering off, but they still occurred occasionally for the next three years.
