| 2 | Not too get pregnant duh | I've had the shot so far for 2 months and I've had all the terrible side effects, sick all the time, hot flashes,weight gain ughh, stomach pain and no period etc. I only got on it cause I'm too young too have a kid and I've heard can't get pregnant on this, but it just feels like I am when I'm not I've already taken 2 pregnancy texts and they came out negative, I'm glad I'm not pregnant but hate feeling like this just feel like getting off of it and getting the pills again they worked for me, DONT FORGET THE SHOT GIVES YOU BAD ACNE !! Doesn't work for everyone but for me it gave me my life back! I lift weights and exercise to prevent bone density loss. Less than a week, I started feeling short of breath and one day it had gotten so bad I had gone to the ER. They told me I had a blood clot in my lung. Now, I have a history of blood clots and I informed my nurse. She insisted Depo Provera would actually thin my blood, and be less of a risk than the pill.
