It may also be used in combination with other medication to treat depression. This medication can help to decrease hallucinations and help you to think more clearly and positively about yourself, feel less agitated, and take a more active part in everyday life.  2  For schizoaffective disorder 1. Truncal dystonia 2. Stiffness and rigidity of thighs and calves 3. Slurring of speech No direct correlation between medication and symptom improvement. So very difficult to say if medicine was working or whether symptoms disappeared on their own. Similarly, whether slowing down is because of medicine or because of illness is very hard to figure out.  5  Severe depression Extra tired and hungry but not end of the world At day 4 of taking 2.5mg I started feeling better. I was in a 6 month long severe depression which SSRIs did not seem to help. It made me feel at least 50% better which allowed me to function more. M 51 12 days

1  Unnecessarily prescribed Absolutely horrific. At first seemed sedating but as the dose was upped it began to basically stop the functioning of my brain. I was a good reader and now couldn't read 2 pages of a novel. Also severely damaged my movement and sexual function and I had been quite fit previously. Also horrific dry mouth so you struggle to masticate( break down food) . And finally it actually caused an overwhelming sense of terror and paranoia . This lifted soon after stopping though I was still left with the permanent damage mentioned above. Avoid like the plague .Defacto Human Rights Abuse and Psychiatry is an Embarrassment to Medicine and Science. M 37 12 weeks

1  Persecution In less than 2 months, an increase of 21 kg Heart rhythm disorders. Problems swallowing. After a long time, extreme tremor and a sharp deterioration of the mental state. The worst thing I've ever experienced in my life was after the dropout. I balanced between life and death for a year and a half. What I experienced. I would never believe that. I have evidence for this and I intend to publish it. The system in my own country tried to destroy me with a lot of these drugs. I would never have believed that I could experience this in 2020. I am grateful to God for being completely healed and stronger than before. M 32 3 months

1  Schizophrenia Permanent TD nerve damage, reduced cognitive ability, increased irritability, hear voices as a result of this and other antipsychotic meds which I never had before being put on them. If I try to come off it forces me into psychosis and I’m hospitalized again and forced to take higher dosages making psychosis much worse. Get off antipsychotics as soon as possible, even better never allow being given them. Read and research, Dr. Breggin, Dr. Moncrieff “The Bitterest Pills”, Alternative To Meds Center. F 57 25 years

5  Mild schizophrenia, nightmares, paranoia Initially very groggy but after 3 days wake feeling rested. Was on this for 30 days for a brief psychotic episode and weaned off. Declined and became paranoid again with nightmares and delusional thinking. Miserable and mean, no patience and sleep deprived. Went back on pill at night and doing very well. Happy, engaged and rested. Highly recommend. Cautious of weight gain but the positive effects are worth it for me. I am able to exercise and walk and I eat healthy. 83 years old. F 83 50 days

1  Supposedly for depression I would not recommend this drug to anybody. It has not helped with my anxiety at all. In fact it has made it worse. I feel completely unmotivated to do anything and I feel very suicidal I was put on olanzapine in July 2019 and started tapering in September 2019. F 65 120 days

1  Schizophrenia Anhedonia Apathy Avolition Insomnia Sexual dysfunction (due to hyperprolactinemia) This drug, along with all other antipsychotics, antagonises dopamine (resulting in avolition due to reduced reward chemical in the brain) and serotonin (resulting in textbook depression). The only reason there have been no improvements to antipsychotic drugs since the 1970s is that the drug companies are making so much money from them. M 36 3 months

1  OCD and weight loss I was put on this drug for my OCD and to help me gain weight because I was very thin. It did work and helped those things, but it also caused extreme constipation. That's why I got off of it. Within a few days of being off the drug, I started to have no appetite and all food was disgusting to me. I never have had this problem in my life, I was always a big fan of food and would practically eat anything. Now it is hard for me to get enough calories in a day because I am disgusted by everything. I'll actually gag on foods now that I had no problem with prior to taking this medication. IT has been many months since I got off of it, and no change. I would strongly recommend that you do not take this medication. It has been a nightmare. I am not writing this to be a jerk, I really want to warn people of what it can do so it doesn't happen to others. At the very least, consult with your doctor about this med. I have been on many different medications in my life, and this one by far the worst M 27 6 months

3  Bipolar II Diabetes, 30lbs weight gain, lack of enjoyment and lack of motivation. This medication did a great job of treating residual depression, OCD and intrusive thoughts when combined with Lithium. It slightly helped my anxiety. Did not help panic attacks. However I feel the side effects may not be worth the benefits. I reduced my dose to 2.5mg and my diabetes just disappeared, but I still have the other side effects. I just sleep and sit around all day, rarely accomplishing anything and not really enjoying myself much. I wasn't like that before. I will never lose weight as long as I feel like this, and I need to lose weight. I would recommend taking an alternative medication if possible. M 35 2 years
