4 | Eczema on both hands | Muscle and bone pain (not at injection site), vaginal discharge, extreme weight gain (12lbs) since starting the injections. | It DOES keep the eczema in check but the side effects are too much. I have gained a bunch of weight and no my diet and physical activity have not changed. I also have muscle pain in my neck/shoulder that is debilitating and ibuprofen does not relieve it. I have also developed vaginal discharge that ended up being bacterial vaginosis and once that was treated, I developed a yeast infection x 2 (not sexually active btw). Cons outweigh the pros in my opinion. | F | 42 | 3 months 300mg 2X M | 1/31/2024 | 2 | Eczema | Watery eyes, vaginal discharge | Hoping this will work soon. Been 2 months and still suffering from stinging, burning itch. | F | 55 | 8 weeks 2X M | 10/22/2023 | 1 | EOE | Side effects: heightened sensitivity ( smell) joint pain, sore throat, cough, allergies worsened, eye problems and floaters, joint pain, depression worsened. | Strong drug which exposed everything in my body. Hated it. Dangerous drug. | F | 55 | 3 months 300 mg 1X W | 8/25/2023 | 5 | Eczema | Red, itchy, watery, weeping eyes. | I am VERY satisfied with my skin healing with Dupixent. | F | 64 | 6 months 30 mg 1X W | 7/15/2023 | 1 | Treat seasonal summer rash | Took starter dose 13 days ago. Rash at injection site appeared 7 days later. 12 days later.. severe joint pain. Now On a prescription of Prednisone. I am a healthy individual. The joint pain has knocked me down. Please be aware of side effects before starting. | F | 54 | 13 days 30 mg 1X O | 3/19/2023 | 2 | Asthma | Delayed injection site reaction. Onset 13 days post injection, still present at 6 weeks post injection. Fluid retention, gastritis, joint pain, muscle pain. | F | 61 | 6 weeks 300mg 2X M | 3/11/2023 | 5 | Atopic Dermatitis | no side effects | I experienced sudden onset of itching in arms and lower legs about 4 years ago. Thought it was a contact dermatitis. It went away but returned and stayed longer. The only thing that would relieve the itching was ice. Had thin skin, bled easily, a real torment. Tried gabapentin, which did not work. Dupixent has been a miracle. I think I am 90%-95% better. I feel very fortunate that I have been able to take Dupixent as I discovered how difficult it is to live with nonstop itching. I honestly think it is worse than pain. I hope it keeps working. | M | 66 | 11 months 300 2X M | 3/8/2023 | 4 | Severe excema | Dry itchy irritated eye. | F | 61 | 9 months Biweekly 2X M | 4/18/2022 | 5 | Life-long atopic dermatitis | I may have gotten itchy eyes, but it's hard to tell because I have them anyhow. | Miracle!!!! I have been scratching for 60 years. Make that *had* been scratching. Within 1 week of the first double-injection I would say that the eczema was 50% better. One week after the second injection I had perfectly normal skin!!! Amazing. I haven't scratched in 2 months. And I no longer need ANY steroid cremes so the thinning, papery skin actually started to look almost normal. Haven't torn it open bumping into things. I cannot even imagine going back to the way I was. This drug is like no other. Thank you Regeneron!! | M | 64 | 60 days 300 mg 2X M | 3/28/2018 |
DUPIXENT (DUPILUMAB): This medication is used to treat a skin condition called eczema (atopic dermatitis). It is also used along with other medications to help control and prevent symptoms (such as wheezing and shortness of breath) caused by asthma. Dupilumab belongs to a class of drugs known as monoclonal antibodies. It works by blocking certain natural proteins in your body (interleukin-4 and interleukin-13) that may cause inflammation and swelling. This medication should not be used to relieve sudden asthma attacks. If an asthma attack occurs, use your quick-relief inhaler (such as albuterol, also called salbutamol in some countries) as prescribed.
