Been taking for 5 years,when it was made by Mylan,now? no longer available,switched to Glenmark made in India,and all hell broke loose,since Oct 2018,i've had nothing but non stop side effects,i want off it,my Dr is ignoring it,said "oh you've been on it a while" i will go elsewhere,i know it's the drug doing this! as soon as i couldn't get the Mylan anymore,if anyone can PLEASE tell me what they switched to? i'd really appreciate it,Was on Toprol years ago,raced my heart,i can't seem to find anything else that doesn't have nasty side effects.I can't even pull a full breath on the treadmill anymore.  1  Afib Chest congestion, chest pain, difficulty breathing, swelling of face and hands Never experienced such terrible side effects from any drug. Indescribable pain as if a pipe rammed down my throat, muscle tightness and pain in chest near heart, congestion and trouble pulling a deep breath, swelling of fingers and puffiness in face, and STILL had occasional arrythmias. Off drug for two days and still in pain. If you get any of this with first dose, don't continue. Disastrous for me. Poison. M 64 5 days

 1  High blood pressure & Arrythmias So dizzy I almost fell. Nausea, So fatigued I felt like a complete slug. Terrible lower gastrointestinal havoc, pain, soreness, colitis-like diarrhea all day. Awful drug. Hope it stops soon, took for 4 days, and the hell continues 3 days after stopping. NEVER AGAIN FOR ME. F 70 4 days

 3  Migraine Really helped my migraines, very satisfied with that. However, belly bloat finally became unbearable. Felt 5 months pregnant and uncomfortable with frequent constipation. Joint pain. Waist went from size 4 to a size 8, sometimes worse. The medication was extremely effective for my migraine. If I cannot find a replacement medication, I will go back to Verapamil.  4  PVCs and High Bood pressure Neck pain and stabbing ear pain, went away in only 1 day but have gas and severe bloated belly, waiting to hear from cardiologist This was best BP med ever , went to 110/70 in 2 days. The PVC have become calmer on 2nd, it works great . Hope stomach thing is temporary F 61 1 days
