CEFPROZIL  (CEFPROZIL):  Cefprozil is used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. This medication is known as a cephalosporin antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria. This antibiotic treats only bacterial infections. It will not work for viral infections (such as common cold, flu).  1   My daughter took it for 7 days and broke out in serious hives over 80% of her body. 2 trips to the er end is still ongoing even after blast of prednisone and Benadryl. All over face body legs back, have no idea what else to do at this point. Will make an effort to not only never give this crap to anyone else in my family but to let everyone I know what it causes. F 10 7 days
