After taking the first dose, I immediately felt more anxious, and my heart rate increased and I had trouble sleeping that night. I debated stopping the medication, but worried about not finishing the full course of antibiotics, especially if it would help fight the infection. I forced myself to complete all 5 days, feeling worse and worse each day. I ended up at the hospital ER twice. Since stopping the medication, most symptoms have gone except for the extreme anxiety and numbness. It has been over 3 weeks now and I still feel like I'm constantly on the verge of a major panic attack. The numbness in my limbs happens mostly at night while in bed. I've experienced anxiety and panic before, but never like this. I feel like I have lost my mind. Can anyone tell me how long this is going to last? I have a 2 month old daughter at home and this drug is ruining my life. Since antibiotics often damage your digestive health, you are beginning to receive less serotonin which leads to anxiety, depression, etc. Look it up on Harvard's Health blog. The state of my mental health has severely deteriorated as a result of me taking this medication. I began experiencing anxiety attacks. I tried meditation, walking outside, warm baths with Epsom salts, etc for two months with little success. Then, I EXPERIENCED AN ALMOST IMMEDIATE RELIEF ONCE I STARTED TAKING AN APPROPRIATE DOSE OF KLONOPIN. Do not hesitate to talk to a psychiatrist about taking any medication to help you to manage severe mental health disorders short-term, before you start feeling better once again. Also: exercise, meditation, and all that jazz. Take control of your health and you are going to be better shortly (I am surely feeling much better now). Also, consume probiotics (sold in capsules in the drug stores), drink kefir, etc. Also, help your nervous system to recover by taking such supplements as Vitamin B complex and Magnesium (Mg). This advice I received from a doctor. I had taken this drug before with no side effects like I’m having right now. The first day I took it, a few hours in I had to go to the emergency room. Right now, my head has so much pressure on the back I can’t find a position for it to get comfortable. About 20 minutes ago, I had a breakdown and called my doctor crying. This is the WORST drug I ever had and will never take it again.
