I stopped taking this drug the second day and went to see my primary care doctor who put me on Keflex 500 mg 4 timed a day and it is working well. The ER doctor had me taking 300 mg every 6 hours. This is a very dangerous drug. I don't recommend it for anyone. This is now the 7th day after I began taking it and my spasms continue although I am beginning to feel a tiny bit of improvement. This drug company should be ashamed for all the pain. This groin pain has persisted (mildly) for the last two plus months since I completed the dosage, but yesterday became debilitating. I also has extreme diarrhea and was tested for Cdif, which this medication is known to trigger. Fortunately I did not have Cdif but it appears this medication aggrivated my Lymphoicytic Colitis condition, so maybe people with irritable bowel issues should not take Clindamycin.
