While it is an antibiotic, it helps with stomach motility. I think the motility problems were easier to deal with than the erythromycin. I had never felt this bad on an antibiotic. First day of taking it, I just had a general feeling that I wasn't feeling well. The second day, I had terrible diarrhea. Right now (Second night: Its about 2:23am) I woke up around 12:30 with terrible stomach cramps that hurt to the point of making me feel like I was going to vomit. I had a few scares (sitting in front of the toilet, praying that I wasn't going to be sick). Laying back in bed, can't sleep, terrible stomach cramps that are keeping me up and the nausea is something fierce.
