1  Shingles Vaccine Day1 I had no expectations of difficulties other than the usual (sore arm, mild to moderate discomfort, etc. I just had a sore arm during the rest of the day but nothing too serious. I went to bed, and sometime after midnight, I started shivering uncontrollably. My teeth were chattering as well. The pain started radiating out to the back of my neck and up behind my head and all the way down my lower back. It was excruciatingly painful to change position. After a few hours, I became extremely overheated and developed a rash on my face. Day2, morning, I was hoping the worse was over because the fever had gone down somewhat, but as I got up to do my morning tasks, I got dizzy and nauseous, and couldn't stand up. I almost passed out. But the issue that made me decide to go to the ER was that my hands became numb and I couldn't move them. They swelled up a bit, as well. I spent a few hours in the ER; they just made sure I didn't have a heart attack and checked my vitals, but otherwise had no answers to my problems. That afternoon and evening, I noticed that my nose was stuffed up and I had a sore throat. They were pretty minor symptoms, as was the pain in the arm itself. I am on Day 3, and I am still nauseous, everything I eat gives me diarrhea, and I have a pain in my armpit on the shot arm which I assume is a swollen lymph node. I continue to have a face rash and I've been tired and have spent most of my time in bed. I have never had reactions this extreme with any vaccination I've taken, including COVID -- NOT EVEN CLOSE. I don't have any underlying health conditions, but I swear that it would have killed me if I did! Not taking the second shot for sure. I can't believe they are giving this to elderly people. First dose F 61

3  Shingles Vaccine 1st shot was 4 mos ago. No issues other than a sore arm for 5 days. This second shot was way worse. Received shot at 8am Monday morning. By late afternoon, my arm started to hurt. By 8pm I developed a fever and had uncontrollable shivers. Following morning was ok and was able to work, however by mid afternoon the fever returned and delirium set in. Was unable to eat anything and could barely speak in coherent sentences. Third day started feeling better. Only issue is now the sore arm which is swollen and has a red welt about 3 inches in diameter. All in all about what I expected given the reactions I had with the covid boosters. Still better than getting the disease. 2nd dose at doctors office. F 59

1  Shingles Vaccine First dosage: left arm received shot. Swelled & burned @ injection site. Swelling area grew over next 2 days to entire upper arm. 3rd day, my left hand swelled & left foot. Could not wear rings & uncomfortable to close hand & couldn't close it to a fist. Had trouble putting on sock & shoe had to loosen dramatically (I normally have a narrow (AA) foot. Sock felt so tight my foot itched. Felt as though I had a tennis ball attached under my arch. Finally, the swelling went away & the pain eased in the injection site. But doctor said I must get 2nd shot as directed. So I did...same issues except now both feet are swollen, itch & hurt to walk. Taking Tylenol & hydrating. Putting my feet up whenever possible & using ice packs for the itching & swelling. Never had any issues with ANY other vaccine. Both 1st & 2nd shots in left arm. F 57
