Oh..did I mention the diarrea! I decided to stop taking afternoon of day 5. That was yesterday...I still have unbelievable abdo pain, dizzy naseous and weak. Anyone know how long till out of your system? The Dr.does not think these effects are from the Biaxìn after reading this site...I think differently. Still, going for more tests. This is horrible! My throat doesn't hurt anymore, but the side effects were too intense to handle. They included: Feeling like everything was unreal, like I was floating around. Intense anxiety, shakiness, sweating, shallow breathing, iron taste in my mouth,nausea, feeling like my skin was crawling, dazed and confused and complete insomnia. | I was given this because I'm allergic to penicillin, but honestly, the effects of this drug were just as bad as penicillin. I guess the banana and muffin I was having before just wasn't enough to stop the stomach aches. | Well the nice side effect was it got rid of my nose rosacea! I had a nose that was always red, and had lumps on it, sore lumps that if you gently squeezed, pus would come out. Had had that for years, used topical ointment, no effect, took tetracycline, no effect. After 14 days of this strong antibiotic, I have never had that problem with my nose again, and it has been 20 years now! I still have spider veins on my cheeks, but have never had the sore, lumpy, pus-y nose since.
