They said stop taking cephalexin Now per allergic reaction. I was prescribed prednisone 10mg with this medicine. No breathing problems yet. The prednisone 10 mg reduce the swelling in my right hand but the cephalexin cause my face and neck to swell and itch so bad I couldn't stand it allergic reaction badly. Dangerous drug cephalexin. Going to see by stopping the cephalexin will my face and itching go away by the next day if not going to the doctor be careful. | Prednisone reduce the swelling in my right hand and the cephalexin cause swelling in my face neck arms entire body and almost killed me not sure if I'm through this yet. You can buy it at Sprouts | F | 23 | 7 days 500 | 12/31/2018 | 3 | Strep Group C Throat Infection | Muscle Aches (forearm, trapezius, deltoids, calf, inner thighs), Joint Aches (pain in fingers, toes, shoulder, elbow, knees), headache, nausea, gas, chills, sweating, itching without rash (usually on feet, legs), malaise, lethargy, shortness of breath, chest pain, rapid/irregular heartbeat, tired easily, difficulty sleeping, anxiety, dizzy spells, dry mouth, loss of appetite | I don't get sick often but came down with strep throat (type c). I am very healthy and work out often (4x per week). I was prescribed Keflex and although it removed the infection quite effectively, I believe it gave me side effects that have persisted for about 3 weeks after stopping the drug. I am finally beginning to feel better, but the side effects were alarming. I contributed it to the illness and only until after reading the review on this site did I think it may have actually been from the antibiotic.
