I've taken hydrocodone on three occasions in the past three years - less than 10 days each occasion and found tylenol just as effective. When I told my plastic surgeon that the hydrocodone was not working he asked me if I were accustomed to taking lots of pain killers like I was a crack addict. I told him that I rarely had occasion to take anything stronger than tylenol.
