2  DIABETES TYPE 2 Unbearable heart burn, burping, cough, body aches. The heart burn!! I was taking 2 or Pepcid a day, nothing. I don't normally get heartburn, even with spicy foods. I don't think it did a good job of lowering Blood sugar unless I went to 1.6 dose, but the higher the dose, the worse my symptoms. I can't live like that. I'll take my chances. Also, this stuff, I feel, is very dangerous to put into your body. F 57 5 months

4  Diabetes Typical stomach upset. Had to cut out all fried foods or suffer consequences. After 1 year my metabolism is slowing because eating less. Now gaining weight. Same thing after 1 year in trulicity. I regained what I lost but the new weight is solid fat on my hips. I adjust my dose to accommodate things like parties, family gathering and long bike rides. Sometimes I need to eat. Doc loves the numbers I get. But I am wondering how to get metabolism back to normal. Gaining weight on a salad a day plus breakfast is insane. F 63 1 years

3  Type 2 diabetes, hypopituitarism At first I tolerated it well, lost weight and lowered blood glucose considerably. But the abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting became unbearable to the point of missing work many days, which became worrisome. The expense is also too much although partly covered by my insurance. I feel as though this drug is poisoning me but I'm desperate to lose weight and to reduce blood glucose. I am unsure what to do. I might settle for a 0.6 dose. F 40 6 months

2  Type 2 diabetes elevated A1C Nausea, weakness, tired all the time. Slightly increased heart rate. My A1C had crept up to 9.0 with Metformin so I went on Victoza to try and get that down. I started with .6 then 1.2 and then 1.8. As the dose increased the worse I felt and while it has limited my spikes and reduced my fasting levels some. The side effect more then negate those benefits. I feel worse then when I had elevated BGL. Besides my insurance only pays 80% of costs so I am stuck with $175 a month co pay. Given the multitude of side effects that have not subsided I feel its not worth the slight benefit of its lowering of my BGL. M 55 20 days

5  Diabetes , food cravings This meds has been a life changer for me. Ever since I quit smoking almost 3 years ago I gained about 50 lbs, consistently craved food and developed diabetes (we think it started before I quit smoking). I was extremely hesitant to start taking this along with any other diabetes medications. I hate having to take any medications whatsoever but I am glad I tried this. Since I have started this I eat way less I don’t crave food like I use to. I tried to change my diet before taking this and my sugars kept going up. Since taking this my sugars now have been in normal healthy ranges. I still get those peaks when I splurge but they are not bad. The side effects were not too bad. A little mild stomach discomfort at the beginning but it was tolerable and went away fast. I started off at the lowest does and went up .5 of a dose till I reached the full dose 5 weeks later. I know peoples bodies are different and not everyone handles the same medications the same. Just listen to your body you will know if this is for you or not. I have way worse side effects from the metformin I take then this stuff gave me. M 37 4 months
