First, I noticed myself becoming highly irritable and anxious. Then, I got headaches daily. Soon after, I started to get body and back aches and develop the other side effects listed. My resting HR went from 80 to 100 and I felt highly weak until I figured out it was Symbicort. I've been off for 24 hrs. I still have most of the symptoms but they are not quite as severe as before. About this time, I also noticed that everytime I used it, my chest got tighter. All the more reason to stop it! I hadn't been using inhaled steroids before the attack, and did fine. ER claimed I got the attack because I wasn't on them. It was a one time thing, I hadn't had any real problems not being on those inhalers. I told the pcp, but she said she'd never heard of either backache, or worsening of breathing when using this inhaler. I tapered off in a few days. The backache finally went away a week after that. I'm not going to keep taking a drug that makes me feel worse instead of better.
