4 | MULTIPLE MYELOMA | Revlimid, given in 21 days on/ 7 days off, has kept me is very good partial remission for 3 years since my stem cell transplant. I have very few side effects except tiredness and some bone pain. Part of these "side effects" could be attributable to the fact that I am a cancer patient and have had a stem cell transplant. | In all, this drug has been good for me so far. Celgene has been a good company to work with as far as providing financial assistance for the drug. This brings the price down to an affordable co-pay that is about the same as what I pay for my blood pressure medication. | F | 46 | 3 years 10 MG 1X day | 4/18/2017 | 5 | Multiple Myeloma | Chronic fatigue but may not be caused by Revlimid | This drug is amazing. It put me in total remission on 1/9/13. | F | 47 | 2 years 5 mg 1X day | 1/11/2013 | 4 | Multiple Myeloma | Foods have bland taste and very mild neuropathy in feet at night. | F | 45 | 7 days 10 1X day | 6/3/2010 |
REVLIMID (LENALIDOMIDE): Lenalidomide is used to treat certain cancers (multiple myeloma, mantle cell lymphoma-MCL). It works by slowing or stopping the growth of cancer cells. It is also used to treat anemia in patients with certain blood/bone marrow disorders (myelodysplastic syndromes-MDS). Lenalidomide may lessen the need for blood transfusions. Lenalidomide is not recommended for the treatment of a certain type of cancer (chronic lymphocytic leukemia) because of the increased risk of serious heart-related side effects and death. If you have this type of cancer, talk to your doctor about the risks of using this medication. FDA Approval Date: 2006-06-29 (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)
