1  Nerve pain in neck dementia - suicidal thoughts - aggressive mood swings - tremors - night sweats - nightmares - paranoia - nausea - buzzing in head - exhaustion, just to name but a few! why hasn't it been taken off the market - there are so many people suffering and dying at the hands of this awful drug, and they won't legalise medical marijuana in UK!!!!!  1  Nerve pain Moodiness, depression and then rage within seconds of each other. muscle twitching and weight issues (yoyo-ing without any kind of diet or exercise changes often as much as 15lbs in a week!) I hated this as much as gabapenten. I would cry unctontrollably for no reason and then immediately after I would become enraged. I had difficulty sleeping and when I did, I had constant nightmares. And to make it all worse, it made my nerve pains worse! I was only getting numbness, tingling and sometimes shocking feelings, but after taking this for a bit, I started getting burning sensations so bad I often could not even have clothes touching the skin over the areas affected. This med is horrific and I actually think I might have tried to hurt myself if I had stayed with it any longer. BEWARE! F 32 2 months

1  Neuralgia Blurred vision cannot think straight, feeling tired all the time, forgetting words. If I had known about this drug I would never have taken it, I tried to come off it but the withdrawal symptoms were horrendous, sick, could’nt eat, lost weight wanted to die, had to go back on it to survive or I would have ended my life.  1  post herpetic neuralgia Dizziness, nausea, light-headedness, confusion, memory loss, inability to concentrate or focus, fatigue, exhaustion, shortness of breath, irritability, depression, weight gain, blurred vision, blisters, locked finger joint, loss of taste Does not target post herpetic neuralgia effectively, on a scale of 1-10, pain is still at 6-8 on daily basis - increases in dose only serves to increase side effects. Side effects are intolerable and significantly affect quality of life, meaning, simple tasks during daily routines are difficult, memory and concentration are lost from day one of starting this drug. Half-life is only 6-10 hours so necessity of use requires to be in system nearly 24/7 - no long-term followup studies to indicate long-term effects and health risks in people using this drug. Advise extreme caution to patients before prescribing, since most people on this drug in fact experience several side effects, within all 3 categories (from mild to moderate to severe).  4  I have a complete spine injury diagnosis Horrible arm pain elbow pain swelling in the hands trigger finger I started taking a low dosage of Lyrica and experience pain in one arm the doctor thought it might be something to do with rheumatology, that was not the case..the dosage was increased and it went from one arm to both arms after a few weeks of taking it the arm pain and elbow pain was so intense it felt like my elbows were going to break my bones hurt so badly and I could hardly move my arms!! I would wake up with my hands swollen and it would be hard to make a fist or even open my hands eventually I ended up getting trigger finger.. where my fingers Would lock... It went from one hand it's a both hands. I went off of it for a little while and went back on gabapentin I was off of it for approximately three months and the pain in my arms still persisted, but not as bad when I was taking the Lyrica... so I didn't think that it could be the Lyrica if the pain was still there. I ask my doctor to go back on Lyrica because I had a lot of other benefits such as energy and it would block out the pain enough to where to get up and do things but after taking it for another 4 weeks everything came back full force and so intense the arm pain was unbearable, I would wake up in tears! so I know now that, it is the Lyrica! I am back on gabapentin for right now. I never had any of these issues before taking the Lyrica, and an concerned taking the Lyrica may have caused a chronic condition.... just wondering how many other people are experiencing the arm pain, wrist pain, elbow pain to wear F 47 4 weeks

1  GAD and ADHD Memory loss, weight gain, brain fog, oedema, palpitations, worsened anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts, insomnia, sweating and many more If I had been aware of how physically addictive this medication is I would never have been willing to try it. Never had a problem withdrawing from diazepam or codine but this stuff is in a different league. It frightens the life out of me that doctors don't know how this drug works, if it actually works or anything about how horrendous the withdrawal is. Avoid this poisonous medication at all cost. It feels like it works to start with but very quickly the negative effects begin. F 43 7 months

5  nerve pain in legs, feet from back Lyrica is the only medication that has helped my nerve pain. I am not aware of any side effects that bothered me. The biggest reason I am considering changing medications is the extreme high cost of Lyrica. F 72 8 years

1  Restless Legs Syndrome Increased anxiety and depression, increased pain, blurred vision, fast irregular heartbeat, severe dehydration, muscle spasms, hallucinations, brain fog, hair loss, difficulty breathing, severe fatigue and insomnia, excessive sweating, crying spells, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, suicidal thoughts, panic attacks, lucid nightmares, loss of appetite, weight gain, loss of emotion, difficulty speaking at times, memory loss, depersonalization When I first started taking it, I felt like it was helping me, but then it turned on me very quickly. After I stopped taking it, that's when my journey through hell began. I developed the absolute worst uncontrollable anxiety you could ever imagine complete with severe panic attacks. It was so severe that my heart would race and I would have difficulty breathing. I was put in the hospital twice over this drug and was even placed in the psych ward during my second visit due to the fact that I really wanted to kill myself. I also had increased pain. I felt like my body was on fire at certain times. I felt too sick to eat, yet I still gained a lot of weight. I had a lot of moments where I was stuck in a brain fog, which made it hard to concentrate on anything or feel any emotion at all, and I would have difficulty speaking at times and even remembering things. I always felt fatigued, yet I had insomnia from the anxiety and panic attacks. If I did manage to get any sleep at all, I would sleep for no more than 2 hours and have lucid nightmares during that time, then wake with a jolt thanks to the endless anxiety. I experienced scary hallucinations, both visionary and auditory-the most memorable being demonic sounding voices telling me I was going to die. BAN this evil drug NOW!!! F 25 2 months

3  RLS, Neuropathy Blurred vision, muscle spasms, Brain fog?, Memory problems I've been taking Lyrica for years. Very expensive so I've cut down to 75mg 2x/day. Having withdrawals: pain, insomnia, sweating. Scary drug to get off of. I've quit cold turkey before (cost went up to $400) and withdrawals were so much worse. I really can't tell if it works for me or not. I may have fibromyalgia and I'm in pain much of the time anyway. My RLS is 24/7. Might have helped some since it's gotten worse since I cut back. I don't know what to do. I'm sick of sweating profusely, not being able to see good and I'm sick of my memory problems. Can't even hold a normal conversation any more. F 55 5 years

1  worn out discs in neck and back ALL the side effects, shuffling gait, muscle pain, continuous hot flushes, osteoporosis, sore joints, dry mouth, brain fog, loss of sight and hearing, falling, mouth ulcers, necrosis and infection, incontinence, hallucinations, sleep apnea, trouble chewing, tongue swelling, trouble smiling, burning feet, loss of balance, swearing with mood swings, trouble breathing, etc. After 6 years of use I managed withdrawal by immediately halving my dosis of 150 mg 2 times daily to 150 mg just in morning. After 4 weeks, from 5 June 17 - 28 June 17, I halved to 75 mg once daily for 3 days - 28, 29 & 30. Took no Lyrica on Saturday 1 July, ended up vomiting, nauseous, headache, shivering so took 75 mg at 1 o'clock Sunday morning 2 July 17. Cut all sugar and carbohydrates from diet, just ate boiled eggs, vegetables and fillet steak. Took 75 mg 21:00 Sunday night and slept OK. Took 10 mg Urbanol at 21:00 on both 3 & 4 July to sleep. Had Greek salad, olives, and vegetables, no coffee, tea or fruit juice, just milk and water. Today, 10 July 17, still no medication, eat a boiled egg per day and vegetables, no sugar. Start feeling better. Ulcer in mouth almost gone. I longer bite my tongue or side of my mouth and can smile normally, the tinnitus is gone, my eyesight is better and the hot flushes are lessening. My feet and muscles are still sore, but the brain fog is lifting. Hope someone will find my method useful - I realized cutting down in 25 mg increments did not work when reading other people's experiences and decided to push the weaning process as much as possible.  1  anxiety Pregabalin can destroy the nervous system. The doctors do not recognise this yet. If you do get sick from damaged nerve ending its very unpleasant, can even stop you from walking. If this does happen you will be on your own as there in no way to treat it. As well, is it is hard, if not impossible to diagnose. Your life will be over. This has happened to me and has completely destroyed my life. please do not take this poison. 41 6 months
