| 2 | Bipolar hypermania and psychosis | Weight gain, insomnia, lethargy, somnolence, depression | I was put on this drug whilst on a 28 day stay in a psych unit. I was told it did not cause weight gain but I have cravings for carbohydrates and sugar. I have terrible insomnia and suicidal feelings. I am on sertraline as well but I think the high dose of Abilify is so strong it is stopping the antidepressant from working. I have just halved the dose of Abilify to 10mg and I hope to come off it but I have been told that if I do I will become psychotic again so I am afraid to. My consultant psychiatrist wants me to switch to Quietiapine.
