| 1 | high blood pressure | The first 5 months okay, then I started having tingling, burning muscle pain and spasms in arms, legs and face. Extreme neck and shoulder pain, vertigo, fuzzy vision. I had blood tests and an MRI to rule out MS and I found this website and talked with doctor about going off Benicar. 2 and 1/2 weeks off the medication my vertigo, tingling, muscle spasms, fuzzy vision is gone; I still have some muscle pain...nothing like it was. I believe some people have an adverse reaction to certain medications...and this one didn't work for me. I could sleep for 10 hours, and in the middle of the day, sit down for 5 minutes and I'd be out | I'm a hemophiliac and am taking other meds for various other problems, but I was feeling very healthy and optimistic about life in general before these symtoms started from taking benicar. Life is not worth living if you feel like crap all the time. Is he telling me to sit, stay, roll over, stay dumb? Good bye doctor...I have an appointment with a different doctor next week and I will try another of the gazillion drugs for BP. I want a drug that has been used for years, not Benicar, that is relatively new.
