Put me on Nexium and over 4 days my symptoms as followed: Right eye blurry with black spots floating in both eyes, severe vertigo, arms cramping in agony, lost feeling in both legs and my mum had to help me walk, chest sore, waking up sweating fever chills and panic attacks, too scared to sleep. Severe nausea stopping me from eating, twitches and loss sensation in hands/fingers, delirium and depression, brain fog and loss of cognitive abilities. I feel I am dying so I stopped taking it. Nexium did help with my nausea, gerd and the feeling of wanting to throw up that the bacterium was causing. However I started developing severe brain fog and signs of depression. Antibiotics got rid of the bacterium but in order to be safe I had to continue with the Nexium pills for 2 more months (taking half the dosage). Right now, after having taken nexium for around 3 months daily I have the worst brain fog of my life. I also feel constantly tired and sleepy. My latest blood test showed that I have a huge B12 deficiency. Thankfully one of my doctors was able to point it out to me and I'm now taking B12 supplements. B12 is responsible for brain funtion/developement and a deficiency like this can cause depression and serious neural damage. I'm stopping Nexium today (even though the doctor said I need to take it for 1 more month). I prefer to die from gastritis and gerd than feeling like I've lost half of my brain. I'm 25y.o and I feel like in the last 3 months I've aged 50 years mentally. NEXIUM (ESOMEPRAZOLE MAGNESIUM): Esomeprazole is used to treat certain stomach and esophagus problems (such as acid reflux, ulcers). It works by decreasing the amount of acid your stomach makes.
