BETAPACE AF  (SOTALOL HYDROCHLORIDE):  This medication is used to treat a serious (possibly life-threatening) type of fast heartbeat called sustained ventricular tachycardia. It is also used to treat certain fast/irregular heartbeats (atrial fibrillation/flutter) in patients with severe symptoms such as weakness and shortness of breath. Sotalol helps to lessen these symptoms. It slows the heart rate and helps the heart to beat more normally and regularly.  3  palpitations I have experienced headaches and hypertension (prescribed Teveten for HBP/happens late afternoon and just waiting for results of 24hr urine test) also diabetic controlled by diet)Iam wondering if iam suffering from Hyperinsulnemia. Can anyone throw any light on this? Has anyone had the problem of high BP at this time of day? F 73 2 days
