I was told that's only if you're on it for 5 years or longer. After going back for second check of blood sugars, 6 months, and getting on scale, I told her I was ABSOLUTELY coming off this med! It should NOT be prescribed! Says that he believes it did not cause my CANCER. We'll see in Jan 2013 what new med to go to. Thinking of requesting Insulin.
