1  Psoriasis No side affects that were listed as possibilities, but I had psoriasis outbreaks in areas where I had never had outbreaks. In other words my psoriasis was worse after 10 weeks. The monthly cost of $3,630.00 is not warranted based on my experience. U. S. Taxpayers probably paid for its research. F 78 70 days

2  PsA Nausea, stomach pain, acid reflux, diarrhea, joint pain and muscle pain. I have been taking Otezla for almost 4 weeks. So far, no relief for arthritis. I have lost 4 pounds. I was walking daily prior to starting Otezla, but now I have so much muscle pain and increased joint pain, I cannot do it. My rheumatologist knows I am having side effects and I have an appointment next week to discusss. I was on methotrexate previously, but had to stop due to a new autoimmune disorder. My body aches and I feel like I have the flu. Good luck if you're taking this medication. Hope it works out for you. F 53 4 weeks

1  Psoriatic arthritis Been on this drug on and off. Was fine on the 30mg but my arthritis was still apparent so I upped it it as recommended by rheumatologist to 60mg. This made me have jaw pain, my arms, wrists were inflamed I’d wake up in the middle of the night in pain with them. I had sickness however it wasn’t as bad as they said it would be. I don’t know whether I should keep taking it in the hope it eventually works or to go off it completely. Any advice would be amazing. I have also tried Humira before this however I was getting sick on it a lot so couldn’t take it anymore F 21 6 months

2  Psoriasis, atopic dermatitis I started 6 months ago and had the usual GI side effects. I developed a hacking cough that I assumed were allergy related. Took all antihistamines and sprays. Nothing. Coughed to the point of throwing up. Once I linked the timeframe to starting otezla, I stopped for a week. Cough gone by day 2. Restarted after 1 week and cough back. Cannot sleep due to coughing. Stopping today after spending another night sleeping sitting up and praying facial lesions do not return Cough is not listed USPI but found SPC (summary of product characteristics) and cough is listed as common. Would have been nice to know F 66 6 months

4  PsA Unrelenting diarrhea; Bad stomach ache; Critically high BP If it weren't for the side effects I'd give this drug a 10! I have terrible PsA. The arthritis is the worst - not bedridden, but very close. After just 3-4 days on this med the pain was 60% gone and after 6 days it was 90% gone. I would have stuck out the diarrhea and stomach aches but my blood pressure went to 190/90 in those short 6 days. I was able to bring it down somewhat with added BP drugs but never below 155/80. I normally am at 126/72 so I had to quit or risk blowing out a kidney, or worse. It works, however. Don't be afraid to give it a try. You may not have the issues that I did and you'll be playing ball again (!) M 71 6 days

1  psoriasis After taking the 28 day starter dose, I’ve noticed several new problems. My diabetes has been under control for many years. Starting 10 days ago, no matter how much insulin I take it is barely lowering my blood sugar. Having psoriasis makes me unhappy, but out-of-control diabetes will wreak havoc. I have also had a lot of trouble digesting my food, and I have suddenly acquired huge, swollen cold sores all around my mouth. My lips are 3 times their normal size. I’ve never seen anything like this. I am going to take a week or two off to see if these conditions clear up. F 74 28 days

5  Psoriatic Arthritis Headaches, Nausea, Loose, more frequent bowel motions I love Otezla. It works like a charm for psoriasis and arthritis. My skin is almost perfectly clear after 15 years and I have almost no joint pain. The side effects were a bit frustrating for the first few months, but now almost unnoticeable. No headaches any more, no nausea. I still have loose bowel motions but that's a good thing and it keeps my weight down. It's a way expensive drug, but I get it through insurance which keeps it manageable. I also take a low dosage of methotrexate but I am trying to convince my doctor that I don't need it. I'd like to do a three month trial to stop the metho and see how it goes. M 57 11 months

1  PPPP & PSORIATIC ARTHRITIS Ok i am extremely upset! I have been on/off this drug over a year, last yr around this time i got a horrible rash on my hands on tops down to wrists, pain my my breasts that is unbearable with 4 swollen lumps, i was set to go for a mamo and ultrasound but my breasts hurt so much I couldn’t imagine them squashing my dense breasts no way! Then the depression the past year of wanting to hide away in my room away from my family and wishing I don’t wake up and no explanation as to why! I have Palmer pustular plaque psoriasis and psoriatic and rheumatoid arthritis as well as fibro, well my last visit i told my dr and he for the first time in 6-7 yrs was very flippant saying see my general practitioner which he knows full well he treats me for everything because of all the autoimmune diseases so knows I don’t have another dr. I also am on oxycodone 20mg 4 x day, 10mg prednisone and .25 aderall, and hydroxine for itching. I decided to do my own experiment and stop the drug, well first off i knew my psoriasis would come back on my palms and soles, i figured ok some arthritis pain but hey i have pain meds, OMG i was in for a shock! Ok the plus side of 7 days off was my breasts quickly withjn 2 days stopped hurting and i can only find the original 2 lumps i have been monitored for yrs, my depression also gone! Now the bad parts, as expected my palms flared up my soles also but not as bad, but i got new pain i never in my life had all through my lower back, i also have My understanding is many drs are playing ignorant in regards to the back pain and new rashes and breast pain! The rash & breast pain go away when i stop using it, but the constant pain i have and the back pain and gasping for breath is new, its like it escalated the costo F 47 2 years
