2  Hysterectomy Hair loss - like major hair loss! Please respond if you experienced this and if your hair grew back after you discontinued. And, what you used for HRT It was great other than losing 50% of my hair F 50 10 months

5  Taken after total hysterectomy I havenít had any unpleasant side effects I I started the dose @ .05 weekly. Reduced to .025 after a few years. I find if you open the patch and let it sit sticky side up for about 15 min before applying, the patch sticks better and doesnít create any kind of irritation F 65 15 years

1  HRT - can't get estradot patches Ist patch had my abdomen red and inflamed within hours of application. Fell off after 2 days. 2nd patch has left red welt around edge of patch - fell off in shower after 2nd day. Hot flushes are returning. Would not recommend this product. The patch is huge compared to Estradot patches. These patches don't stay on. Have caused irritation to my skin. Not a very practical patch. Must have been designed by someone who thinks menopausal women shouldn't have an active life, shower or swim as it falls off so easily. Overall would never recommend this patch. F 53 6 days

1  Hot flushes and menopause symptoms The sticker gets FILTHY after only a few hours, no matter where you put the patch. I have not been on it for a week yet today I noticed that where the previous patches were, the skin is peeling off and discoloured. This is UNACCEPTABLE as where are you meant to put the patches during the summer when you wear togs. It has caused breakthrough bleeding, bloating, cramps. My pharmacist substituted this from Estradot due to difficulty obtaining it. I went back to my GP and got a different form of HRT. My OB/GYN put me on these wretched things whereas my GP was happy for me to continue with the pills. I will be going back on the pills asap. F 52 4 weeks

3  Debilitating hot flashes and sweats Racing Heart, high levels of anxiety, sleeplessness, loss of appetite at first it was amazing. The hot flashes went away after about a week, but now I am jittery, super anxious and had a heavy period after not menstrating for over a year. Thinking I should come off but not sure if I should just remove. F 53 6 weeks

2  vaginal atrophy/urogenital issues Weight gain, breast swelling/ pain and arthralgia in my fingers. Started on 0.05 patch lowered to 0.0375 after 6 weeks because of breast pain and arthralgia in fingers, the lower dose has helped some , but the weight gain is NOT ACCEPTABLE. Will discontinue Never had ANY issues with the generic of climara staying attached. F 52 2 months
3  Low estrogen menopause symptoms Racing heart, sweating, nervousness, congestion high blood pressure.. hoping these symptoms will resolve once my body adjusts to it. Last night I was up all night sweating in freaking out. I feel great during the day now, wonderful mood. The leg cramps and burning mouth are lowered to a bearable level. The high blood pressure throbbing pulse and sweating concerns me. I took this drug because my estrogen is so low and giving me the worst cramps in the evening like my whole body is trying to give birth. That pain has been reduced tremendously but now I'm getting night sweats and hot flashes all night long. It seems to be every other night not every single night. F 46 3 days
4  Debilitating & frequent hot flushes None. Apart from a few minor flushes now & then. Stays on well in pool, never comes off, but easy off when I replace F 61 4 years
1  Menopause symptoms and osteoporosis The worse patch to stay comes off and I have tried using tetegaderm waterproof patches to put on top, several at a time. They leave whelps on my butt and itch...still patch comes off. Have 5 big waterproof bandaids on one now...not wanting to stay. Extremely upset with this patch. Hello you have to bath daily. Bayer did a crap job. And expensive 50 3 days

I experienced burning headaches, raised BP, burning pain down back of arms, burning surge across top of head, numbness to bottom lip. removed patch and all symptoms have gone..wont be using again. In the years ive used this product I have gained 20 kilo and have found it impossible to loose this weight.  3   spotting I also have the problems with getting the patch to stay on! I am terrified. I started spotting after 2 months of use. I never had hot flashes but count yourself blessed if that is all you had! I broke my ankle in 2 places 2 years ago and still cant walk! I could go on and on but I really just wanted to come on and say look up Menopause Barbie on youtube. She is a GYN who can answer all of your questions! F 55

5  Hot flashes, vaginal dryness Have been using the patch for 13 months. After the first week all my symptoms began to get better and ultimately completely went flashes, vaginal dryness, moodiness, headaches, body aches, mental fogginess..I had every symptom possible. I began experiencing spotting for 3 days the past two months and had a vaginal ultrasound today which showed I have a thickening of my uterine lining. So Iím stopping use of the patch for 2 weeks in hopes of shedding the existing lining. If itís still there will have a D&C and biopsy. My Dr doesnít think itís ďCĒ and believes the 2 week break will take care of the thickening and I can go back to using the patch 🙏🏽 F 54 13 months

2  Menopausal symptoms A lot of heavy bleeding. Had ovaries and fallobian tubes taken out. Put on birth control pills which resulted in high blood pressure. Dr put me on the patch. A lot of heavy bleeding as a result. Not happy about it. I thought I wouldn't have to deal with the bleeding (anymore)since I had my ovaries removed. F 44 14 days
3  Severe osteoporosis Extreme weight gain, 12kg in six months, and extremely heavy periods that last 15-17days and then pretty much get them again 2 weeks after I finish my cycle. Also chronic sweating all day everyday and night. I have told my endocrinologist and she is going to look into things. Unfortunately I can't go off HRT so I will just have to deal with it. F 23 7 months
3  Hot Flashes No side effects that I can report at this time. I've only used it for 2 weeks and that may be the full length of time since they DO NOT STAY ON. I went through 4 patches in 2 weeks. The two that stayed on only stayed on because I plastered it with medical tape that is horrible looking and itchy. I cleaned the area with alcohol and let dry before applying and reinforced it with tegaderm and it still came off. These are very expensive to not stay on $20 per week. F 49 14 days

CLIMARA  (ESTRADIOL):  This medication is a female hormone (estrogen). It is used by women to help reduce symptoms of menopause (such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness). These symptoms are caused by the body making less estrogen. If you are using this medication to treat symptoms only in and around the vagina, products applied directly inside the vagina should be considered before medications that are taken by mouth, absorbed through the skin, or injected. This medication may also be used by women who are not able to produce enough estrogen (for example, due to hypogonadism, primary ovarian failure). Certain estrogen products may also be used by women after menopause to prevent bone loss (osteoporosis). However, there are other medications (such as raloxifene, bisphosphonates including alendronate) that are also effective in preventing bone loss and may be safer. These medications should be considered for use before estrogen treatment.   (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)
