Was prescribed Augmentin for illness to only get MUCH worse because Teriflunomide stays in the system for up to 2 years after discontinued. DO NOT TAKE AUGMENTIN WITH AUBAGIO (TERIFLUNOMIDE) IN YOUR SYSTEM! My upper body ceased and was sent to the ER. Once the Augmentin was discontinued, discomfort was relieved. | M | 38 | 4 months 14MG | 5/7/2017 | 1 | MS | I had significant hair loss. Hair thinning can be a symptom, but mine was so bad that I would say it was hair loss. It caused me to go off of this medicine because I didn't think going bald would improve my quality of life. Mild occasional diarrhea was the only other symptom I had. | F | 35 | 3 weeks 14 mg | 9/7/2014 |
AUBAGIO (TERIFLUNOMIDE): This medication is used to treat relapsing forms of multiple sclerosis-MS. It is not a cure for MS but is thought to work by decreasing certain immune system cells (lymphocytes) which can attack the nerves in your brain and spinal cord. This helps decrease the number of flare-ups (relapses) and may help slow down physical problems caused by MS. FDA Approval Date: 2012-09-12 (Sources: U.S. Centers for Medicare Services, FDA)
